Is going too deep in a dream within a dream and not being able to wake up just an Inception reference and a joke or are you actually serious (I highly doubt it is true)?
The best ways to have a pleasant dream are:
• Look in a mirror. Mirrors in dreams tend to "show" items or things that might be helpful. If you punch the mirror, you will usually be able to obtain the item behind the mirror.
• Watch a scary movie before sleeping. The subconscious doesn't like that crap, so it tries to fill it in with a happy thought. The scarier the movie, the better the dream.
• Perform the ritual to summon Cthulhu. Cthulhu, also popularly known as The Happiness Fairy tends to grant wishes in a dream.
• Look for clocks. This should be obvious, clocks are always an object of happiness. Grandfather clocks are the best.
OH GOD NO! Clocks will display something terrifying as will computers. Mirrors will display you worst nightmares. And don't look at posters either, the people on them will change their expression and/or jump out. Talking to your self can also probably cause problems. As soon as the first negative thought pops in your mind you are SCREWED. Just clench your eyes and wake up.
I am actually scared of lucid dreaming but I have heard about lying perfectly still on your back until falling asleep can do it for some people but if you open your eyes after a long time sleep paralysis can occur so this only works with patient people.

Why do clocks terrifying? I looked at a clock in a lucid dream once. Its hands were spinning around very fast but nothing bad happened.
It is when you are in a lucid dream, but you are able to leave your body during the time you dream are able to float around like a ghost and watch yourself sleep, and are able to travel anywhere you want to go. When you are about to wake up, you are pulled back into your body and you wake up usually with muscle spasms while your mind recovers. Warning, Astral Projection is very dangerous, you may never wake up will be stuck in what is called "limbo" if your body and mind think that you are indeed awake. You will also be stuck in Limbo if you go past the 4th layer of Inception.
Can you really do this? I WANT TO TRY.
