hey, guess what!
I've recently 'learned' how to lucid dream. but not those god-like "i can do whatever i want" sort of dreams, just dreams, but lucid.
i think you gotta realise it's not a dream to do that sort of thing? I can't figure out how to do that. It's weird, no matter what happens, my brain just thinks it's real.
The single worst dream I've ever had was that my little sister was run over by an RV in our front yard. It was awful... I didn't let her go anywhere near the road whenever I could help it, for a month or two...

I have other people's signatures stuck off, so I can't ever seem them. Oh well.
Whoa, that was an amazing dream! It is really cool that you can dream lucidly (I've never been able to...) You're good at describing it too you should try making stories based off of your dreams.
*curious* Do you always remember your dreams?? And do you sometimes wake up in the middle of the night after dreaming??

I always remember my dreams. My noggin is full of them! this has to do with me having a photographic memory, i think.
And i usually never wake up in the middle of the night after dreaming.
Anyways, STORY TIME, gather round kiddies.
So, During my travels in an mostly uncharted Contient, I stumbled across a tiny town Named Magashina (thats what it read on the sign out front, near the enterance.)
It was very small, and the houses were composed of a bamboo/wood composite, most being 2 stories tall except for the occasional shop or Inn.
I travelled towards the nearest INN that was close to me.
The place looked sort of run down, the INN sign was, at least the most sturdy thing on the building from my examination.
So, i went up to the door and was about to knock whe-"PIPE DOWN SONNY!"
I Fell flat on my tukus, absolutely suprised at the yelling.
To my left, was an old lady laughing to her self like she had seen the three stooges.
"Sonny, im right here. you have no need to knock."
I kinda wound up with the *er,okay.* expression on my face as she chuckled once more at my blunder.
"sonny, the inn is closed, but since you've given me such a laugh, why not go take the room around the back. Heck, ill even give it to you for free, but dont you go messing it up!"
Accepting her kind generosity and taking back my first opinion of her being a prankster, i made my way behind the in, and opened the back door.
She wasent as generous as i had thought.
One look around the inside of the back room made it clear that it was mostly for storage, except there was a bed with a small nightstand there, 2 small windows, a rickety looking chair near a rickety looking table, and clutter surrounding the rest of the room.
I suppose it would have to do, so i set up my things inside the small, lightly dusty backroom, and came back up for a walk around the area.
And i think i heard the old woman say the park was the nicest area to relax in. at least, i think i did; as far as i was concerned, the old coot was crazy.
Anyways, i decided to take a stroll around the area, visiting anything that really piqued my interest.
The shops around the area mostly specialized in food and clothing, perhaps just one antique store in there with mounds of clutter and old items.
I decided to check out the antique store, and as i entered, there was a man, leaning aganst the table with redicolously large sideburns studying gems, medallions, charms and other things.
He had heard me enter, and set down his looking apparatus, gazing up at me with a peculiar look on his face.
"you..yes you! you havent met a man in exquisite robes, have you? golden like, very slim man?"
i stood there for a few seconds dumbstruck by this out of the blue question, and then told him i had seen no such thing as of late.
"ah...very well. pay no attention to that! welcome! i run this humble Store of antiquity and Relics! Please, come in and make yourself comfortable, look around a bit...and hopefully you wont break anything."
..Definately a Eccentric man, running this shop. seemed friendly at least, so i browsed his wares.
As i did so, his eyes seemed to follow me from every corner of the store, untill i had walked past a certain area of the shop.
Doing so, i heard a small ringing, like the chime of a bell, so naturally i tried to pinpoint this very curious noise.
On a glass table in the far back of the store lay a small green gem on a necklace strand of gold.
I picked it up and studied it curiously as the man spoke right beside my bloody ear, making me freeze up on the spot.
"ah yes, Did you perchance hear a ringing noise, drawing you to this item?"
being the truthful person i am, i told him yes, and this made his face seem to flourish with joy.
"keep the pendant, and please leave now. the store is closed."
He hurried me out of the store and closed the door so hard i could hear the locks rattle, and there i was outside, just standing there with this pendant i had been hurried out with.
it was so very...odd.
Shrugging, i decided to return to my room and go to bed. Before doing so i doned the pendant, thinking it might make for a good luck charm or something of the luck, and closed my eyes, sleeping the bed the old lady had SO generously given me.
And i dreamt of a green, open space. it was lush, the air swept across my body with a gentle touch, and it was so peaceful, that not even poetry could do it justice.
I walked around this miraculous place, seeing waterfalls, glistening rocks, grand old oak trees and more, even a Rushing river, which you could see your reflection in some parts of it. that was what i saw before i came across a man sitting upon a stump, playing a peculiar tune on a flute.
"welcome, traveller." he said in a Soft, mysterious voice.
i instantly inqusitioned about where i was.
"A dream, no less. but it isnt yours."
Crossing my arms and getting quite impatent, i asked him why it wasent my dream, and what he had to do with all of this.
he simply replied "the garden has the awnsers you seek."
and then the dream faded out slowly as i ran to grab him by the neck.
I awoke with sweat on my forehead, i had slept in till 12, and someone was knocking on my door.
I got up and changed quickly, opening the door. well, hey, it was the last person i was expecting anyways.
It was the old lady that owned the Inn, telling me she had made breakfast for me, and i asked why.
"well sonny, there aint nobody else running around these parts of late, and i dont have much of a family anymore...thought i might do something nice for a stranger such as yourself."
I thanked her, and after a quick bath in the bathhouse (which was Steamy BLISS by the way!!) I joined her from breakfast in some robes.
She had made quite the meal, Eggs, bacon, Orange Juice, and she had all kinds of fruit. During the meal, we had a very pleasant conversation of what brought me here, where i came from, and what i planned to do after.
It was going really well untill she stopped for a moment, and pointed out the pendant beneath my shirt.
"what do you have there sonny?"
I pulled out the pendant and showed her, a bit shyly i might add.
As she gazed at it, it seemed that memories started to flood her brain, as she sat back and looked at the village outside through the window, slowly sipping her coffee.
"My,My. I think in my golden years, that would have been the last thing i'd see....tell me boy, where did you come across this particular trinket?"
I told her that the shopkeeper of the only Antiquity store in town had given it to me for free, and she chuckled at the statement.
"boy, i think you should take a walk around the place some more, it might do you some good."
I was kind of annoyed that she seemed to think i was slightly ingnorant, but i heeded her advice, and thanked her for the meal, slipping on my sandals and walking around town.
The trees were in bloom this time of year in Magashina, and the petals that blew around from falling off the flowers in the trees made the world seem so much more serene, especially around a quiet town like this one.
After a bit of walking here and there, i came across a park that looked...and felt odd to me. Large waterfalls, Grand oak trees...thats it, i was in the park i saw in my dream.
Imagine that, that my dream would be real, but i had my doubts and suspicions, so i searched for the stump the man was sitting on.
There it was, right in the middle of the forest with the river and the waterfall nearby, and with the flowers falling from the trees, it was even more beautiful than it was in my dream.
I sat down on the stump, finding it more comfortable than i had thought, and leaned back, relaxing and taking in the world and it's view as i sat there.
Suddenly, a bush nearby rustled, and i jumped, slightly frightened.
A part in the trees rustled, then a nearby flower patch, before i had turned back to the tree, and caught the man from the dream standing up there.
"what ho, traveller! good to see you taking in the history of Magashina."
A blink of the eyes and he was down from the tree and right infront of me, smiling a little TOO happily for my tastes.
"I didnt think you'd come, traveller, its a rare suprise that i get to talk to someone from outside the contient, or talk to someone at all, really!"
Quite really, the only thing i could do was tilt my head, trying to figure out who this guy was, and what his whackjob story was.
"Oh..i suppose i havent introduced myself, how terribly rude of me. I am the prince of Magashina, prince Mahall."
I greeted him and gave him my name as well. friendly enough of a guy, i suppose.
"So traveller, i see you have my pendant. how did you come across such a valuable artifact?"
A little suprised at learning that it was his pendant, i told him i had gotten it from a shopkeeper, but then quickly asked how it was his.
"well, i suppose i ought to tell you about it, but it would involve a long story about my past, would you be interested to listen?"
I nodded with geniune interest, and asked him to tell me the story of how this all came to be.
"Well traveller, It all started when i was only a young boy and when the my kingdom exsisted
. My family was a rich and powerful noble family from the Mainlands of Artha, the royal family to be exact. our lands were Prosperous with rich soil, and plenty of mineral, but they were small lands, and as any kingdom would, it needed to grow. So, as i was of age, The king, my father, and the queen, my mother sent me and a scouting party to find new lands, and cultivate and conquest them. My mother gave me this pendant for good luck and to ward evils from the path i took."
He pulled down his shirt a little to reveal the same exact pendant underneath.
I wanted to ask, but i didnt, letting him continue his explanation so i could find out more.
"These lands you are in now were not so beautiful, nore peaceful. They were jungle-like, and consisted of rough terrain, and many dangerous animals, some considered to be poisonous.
After finding this suitable place, me and my scouting party set up camp, and began to create this village, while me and a few of my men went off to find food. As we travelled through the rough jungle, Our scouting party came across another scouting party.
It was less of a happy encounter as we found out that these men were scouts from another Kingdom, one we were at war with.
they had their princess along with them, a very beautiful one as a matter of fact. she moved with such grace...but i digress, we were under a peace treaty at the moment, and neither of us were to attack eachother.
...not untill i made the mistake that cost me my life. As all kingdoms under this treaty, we were not allowed to...ah, how do i say this?
We were not allowed to Be Close to any of the other kingdom. Well, i as i was travelling through the forest alone one night to take a breather from the camp, i stumbled across her here, right where we are talking.
She did not see me at first, untill i had shown myself to her, startling her in the act. i did not mean any harm, and she knew that as soon as she saw the smile on my face.
We started talking to eachother, and found that we had plenty a thing in common, and that we quite enjoyed eachothers company.
from then on, each night we met here, to converse. and pretty soon, i had found myself in love.
..Say, what about you, do you have someone special?"
thats when i kind of tensed and looked away, telling him i didnt.
"oh..Shame,nice person like you should have someone."
Anyways, we kept doing this untill men from both sides became suspicious.
We talked down by the river one night, and as she grew silent, i kissed her for the first..and the last time.
As soon as this happened, both my men, and her men came out of the forest in an ambush, and starting fighting fiercely amongst eachother, but i didnt care.
I took the princess in my arms and fled, running as fast as i could, And before i knew it, we had 3 men upon us, chasing from behind.
I ran as fast as i could, finally leaping from place to place, and we did lose them after a while.
I set her down onto a nearby tree and rested myself, panting wildly from the chase and trying to catch myself.
thats before she screamed, as a snake i had never seen before had bitten into her neck.
I ran over and flung the snake aside, it biting my arm with such force and then flying off into a tree.
I asked if she was okay, but she could only hoarsely tell me that she loved me, and that she enjoyed the time we had together.
After such, she died and from a time as well, i did too. the snake had turned out to be poisonous, and we died here together."
I leaned backwards in shock. I knew what this meant, and i didnt know how to react.
"thats right, i know what you're thinking. Im a ghost, but at least im not an evil spirit! hahah!"
I asked him what had brought him here as a ghost, and why he had Revealed himself to me, and many other questions i had.
"slow down now! see, that pendant you have allows me to communicate with you, because it holds my memory and soul inside of it. i revealed myself to you because i do believe that you can help...us."
as soon as he uttered "us", a woman crept up from behind the brush to the left, walking over slowly and sitting down beside Prince Mahall, wrapping herself around him.
"this is princess Ana, from the other kingdom i had mentioned."
She was beautiful and very fragile looking, her skin as pale as the moon itself.
"we died here, and we dont know why we became ghosts of this place. Our men built this village, and made it prosper, because we were here and always watching. But now that it prospers enough to be well on its own, and that i do not see many changes coming for awhile, we wish to pass on. but we cannot."
In deep sympathy, i asked what i could do for the ghostly couple who had appeared before me in this village so suddenly.
He shook his head. "i do not know what could be done. I do know that the snake, and the pendant you have there are both key to us passing on, but for now, you should ask some knowledgable people about us."
I went on to try and ask more, but they simply faded there in a gust of wind, scattering the petals about the ground.
A diembodied voice rung out through my head.
"the old lady at the inn might know more!"
sitting there for about what seemed like an hour, i got up, and went straight back to the inn, and i took a bath to rest after listening to the long story.
Afterwards, i did what i thought was best, and i asked her about any legends she knew about the town.
"well sonny, when i was younger, this place was only a small settlement, with it's leader being a prince. i dont know what his name is, but the myth is, he went and got 'imself killed by a snake with a lady, and that they both haunt the place now..I've Also heard that the flowers that fall from the trees represent Unity in life, and retribution in death...but thats all i would know, kiddo."
I thanked her for the information and tried to figure out who else would know.
So, i started to walk as i thought the villagers might know something, but the old lady shouted at me from behind.
"dont ask the villagers! they dont know squat!"
..after asking 2 villagers and getting no information about the legend, i decided to try the place where i got the pendant. perhaps this was where i could find out more.
the man with the enormous sideburns was still there, reading about 6 books at the same time, is what it looked like, before he looked up and his face slightly drooped in expression.
"what do you want, kid." he said quite blankly.
I asked him about the legend and he sighed a bit, pacing back and forth before letting me in on what he knew.
"i know about the prince and princess dying of a snakebite, thats true. I've heard of the legend as well, but i think its poppycock! either way, the snake is called a "tree skeemer", with not many of its kind exsisting today."
his face brightened up at the mention of this, as he went into more of it.
"the tree skeemer is very poisonous, and is said to cause quick death by it's venom. they call it a tree skeemer because it leaps from tree to tree, you know."
He waved his hand in a bit of windmill fashion flippantly.
"either way, if you want me opinion, i think killing the snake would help that couple, wherever they might be. and perhaps the venom would have something to do with it too."
well, with the ideas in my head, i went back to the stump where the river was, with no person or ghost there, but a snake, hanging from a tree.
it was huge...but very old looking, as it slithered down to the ground.
I took out my trusty combat knife i had with me and went into a crouch position. i knew how bad this could go, one bite and i was finished.
It leapt at me, and i fumbled and rolled to the side in a panic, getting back up and facing the snake that was hissing violently at me.
it leapt at me again and i jumped to the side, and then grabbed onto it, trying to hold on for dear life, and used my knife to stab into its skin for grip, stabbing at it many times again as it flailed about, and then finally falling to the ground with an enormous thud.
I hopped off this thing, and wiped my forehead off, as it was covered in sweat.
The only thing i could think of is how the hell did this thing grow so big? how old was it really? and did i just kill it?
Well, it was definately dead of course, and it lay there with it's jaw open, it's head on the side of the ground, leaking a pool of venom onto the ground.
I took a small bottle i had with me and carefully collected the venom from the Dead snake.
From doing this, its skin started falling off, as any dead snake's skin would, and i left it's corpse and returned to the stump.
the two ghosts, the prince and the princess were sitting there quite solemnly. the prince was no longer as happy looking as he had been, but rather quite content.
"you've killed that snake, i see. you know, i cant quite believe that you actually did it."
I Asked him what i was supposed to do now, and he held up one of the flowers from the trees around them.
It was quite deep on the inside, almost like a cup,
"bring the venom here, please."
I gave him the venom and he poured it into the Flower, and they both looked at me happily.
"thank you for helping us pass on, traveller. for a thousand years, we've been stuck here, unable to leave, and now we can go..Please know that a part of us will always be with this town, and with you. now please hand me your pendant."
They took the pendant, dipping it into the venom, and turning the color of the venom a bright blue.
they then both took a drink from the flower.
Suddenly, their bodies started turning to stone, as if it was in a fairy tale.
They looked like they wanted to be alone, for their final moments on this planet together as they gazed into one anothers eyes, so i quickly excused myself back to the inn to let the lovers be. thats when i saw where the old lady was waiting outside.
"So, sonny. looks like you've given a couple what they've wanted for years and years. i knew someone would eventually free them from that tourture. on behalf of the town, you've got my thanks. Please, stay here as long as you'd like. ill make you some tea."
And so, we talked about the entire tragedy, the prince, the princess, how she was the princess's maiden, and how the town became how it was today, and how the Antique shop owner used to be the prince's advisor.
The only two people in the town that had known about this beautiful, and magnicient legend, and i had blindly stumbled upon and finished it. how lucky could a guy like me be?
I went to bed that night and had no stranger than normal dreams, and awoke the next morning.
there was a bit of clammering in the village, as a mysterious statue had been made over night.
I made my way to the park where the small crowd was, they were gawking at what was prince and the princess kissing, hand in hand and for all to see as a statue.
it was a symbol of their eternal love, and i left the sight until later in the day, coming back to look closer without any intrusion.
I gave the statues a quick inspection, and turned around to look at the river for a bit.
as i turned around i heard a creak, and saw that the hand of the princess and prince had outstretched towards me, and in there hands lapsed over eachother, was the pendant, glowing faintly.
I suppose this is what they meant by a part of them would always be with me, so i took and donned the amulet, and the statues arms returned to its normal state, the prince and princess entwined in love.
Magashina almost felt like home to me now, as when passing by the villagers seemed to approve more of me, and having meals with the old lady at the inn.
And, about 5 days after staying and enjoying myself, i had to leave.
I told the old lady who had been so nice to me goodbye, and even got to say goodbye to the antiquity shop owner, who was very cheerful, knowing of the news.
"come back now sonny, you hear? ill make a wonderful blueberry cobbler for you the next time you visit."
"and hopefully you'll visit my shop as well! you didnt stumble across ALL of my interesting things yet!, haha!"
and, looking back at the town behind me fondly, i stared for a few moments, remembering everything that had happened there, and then left for the next adventure, slowly fading as i woke up and back into real life.
I hope you enjoy this lucid dream i had,
Please feel free to ask my any questions you have, or tell me what you think of the dream.
I always remember my dreams. My noggin is full of them! this has to do with me having a photographic memory, i think.

Anyways, STORY TIME, gather round kiddies.

Can I request a spoiler tag for that?
Edit: Thanks
Also You are lucky a lot of my dreams are mute. So there is no Audible Dialogue. People speak but it is like I am deaf to their words.
And it isn't as if there is no sound at all. As most will have Ambience and stuff. Some have no sound at all but they are usually dreams that I wish I never had.
I have lucid dreams, too. Sorry about asking for permission to write a story. Anyways, before I learned about the Civil War, I had a dream about it. I was a 13-year-old boy, in the state I live in today in the United States. There was a meeting when union soldiers attacked our town and the Confederate and Union soldiers fought. The Union troops started to burn some of the buildings, and most of my family was killed in the cross fire. So I've had my fair share of dreams before. This dream was lucid because I knew it was a dream after I got a bullet in the leg and felt it but it became numb seconds later. I stayed in the dream for a bit after that. If you want, I could tell everything about the dream, and exactly what happened.

"It's not nice to hate anybody, unless the person you hate is a complete idiot."
My dreams are mostly about the things that i fear the most
Like my most recent: I have awoken in a hallway, i have no idea where i am, or what to do, suddenly, a familiar face appeared at the end. It was her, my crush, she was laughing, and as i tried to get close to her and hold her hand, she walked away. The person which i hate the most of all, suddenly, appears at the hallway and grabs her at the hips. he kisses her, and glares at me, making sure that i was watching.
Enraged, i sprang up and hit him, but my shots had no effect, he was laughing, as he threw me across the room, i couldnt move my arms anymore, was paralysed...
Suddenly, i am in class, I have no idea whats going on, the writing on the board makes no sense, everyone else around me understands, but i dont, have no idea whats going on. Am i even in the right class? Shouldn't i be somewhere else? I tried asking the children, but they wont respond to me, they are ignoring me.
The test is unanswerable, i have no idea whats going on, i cant think, at all. I have never been so clueless in my life...
School is out, hopefully i can get out of here and clear my head. But where is the car parked again?!? i forgot, i cant remember! I am running to the gate, it seems like its having no effect, suddenly, i see my car. Its driving away. I cant catch up, the numbness returns, as i start to lose control of my legs. This again reminds me of her, and what she did to me. I lay there, crying, unable to move, while the children around me mock me and ignore me...
Most of my dreams have some of my greatest fears in them, like this one where the girl of my dreams is being taken away by the person who i hate the most, as well as being clueless, and being the dumbest person. The loss of control of my legs is recurring in most dreams, when i try to run away, i cant move and get sucked towards the thing im trying to run away from, it is scary as hell.
Your imagination is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Better than my Wonderland-type imagination with random bits and bobs all mashed together to form a dream.
It's only occasional that they make sense.
If you think「I'm dreaming」just before you fall asleep, there is a fairily high chance you will lucid dream, and remember the dream for a long time, every detail.

I was thinking of my boyfriend.
And my mind regurgitated a dream about me, a half-dead princess hidden in a bedroom behind fake bookshelves and left to die - just as I'm about to, he comes in, takes my hand, kisses me on the forehead and says, "Goodnight, I love you."
*sniffel* a very sad story and in vivid detail i felt like i was there. i hope you can have that dream again so you can see her again maby it was forshadowing that one day you WILL meat her in real life i hope for you gl

Well, i have been told by a few people that if i've dreamt her, she's walkin' around somewhere in this world.
Im always aware that im dreaming.
I just sometimes think that the dream is so realistic that it might not be a dream.
it IS lucid. i can guarantee you that.
Stop being hostile.
I did have a dream similar to this, except I became bros with Megaman and we killed Ganon. That was when I was about eight, though.
That was a reply to the guy above me. I didn't realize I went over to the next page.
This is the one.
Seriously, you should start writing books or short stories about this stuff. It's awesome.
No sir. I am telling you the truth.
*curious* Do you always remember your dreams?? And do you sometimes wake up in the middle of the night after dreaming??

i instantly inqusitioned about where i was.
I've got balls of feel.
Like my most recent:
I have awoken in a hallway, i have no idea where i am, or what to do, suddenly, a familiar face appeared at the end.
Better than my Wonderland-type imagination with random bits and bobs all mashed together to form a dream.
It's only occasional that they make sense.
t-t-thank you *sniffle*
you've made my day.
You're welcome.

It was so sweet.
Well, i have been told by a few people that if i've dreamt her, she's walkin' around somewhere in this world.
i wonder...
