Project Habakkuk was a plan by the British in World War 2 to construct an aircraft carrier out of pykrete (a mixture of wood pulp and ice), for use against German U-Boats in the mid-Atlantic, which were beyond the flight range of land-based planes at that time. The idea came from Geoffrey Pyke who worked for Combined Operations.
By now your probably wondering where I'm going with this. So do you think this would have been a good idea if they had the supplies back then? Would this be a good idea now? And do you think this would actually work?
Personally I think It might have, but a very slim chance even if they had the supplies in World War 2. I think someone should try it today.
