Out of curiosity, do you assign personalities to inanimate objects? You don't have to think of them as people, just thinking of something as reliable or lazy qualifies.
Personally, I think of my desktop as some sort of crafty survivalist that makes do with what little it has (1.5GB of RAM and an Intel graphics chipset) and my laptop as a recovering... something. (It wouldn't boot half of the time when it came into my possession. It now runs Minecraft at 40 FPS.)

Anyway, I definitely give objects around me personalities. Even to the point of seeing them as having feelings and such. It's almost like a reflex and I've done it since Kindergarten, at least.
