How can I improve my OP to keep a steady stream of traffic on the topic?

You can Illegally bump it... But that's against the rules. Put enough effort into it, and the traffic will come. Look at my sig for help I guess.

(wondering if this is how he gets more people to view his topic...)

You're an excellent writer!!! Could you possibly apply for moderator on my thread? I can use you A LOT, since my server is hugely based on lore. You could be a historian for actual player-driven events. Do you think you'll ever get an opportunity to do that again?

Maybe use pictures, a custom tag for your name of the server, and also good organization is key.
