If you couldn't tell, this isn't even my room. There are always people watching what I'm doing every second too..
I am in the same boat. Mine is not in my room, and when I try to move into my room my family just bitches ALL THE TIME that I am locked up in my room distancing myself from my (judgmental) family.
No, it's bendable. I only direct it (a bit) to the camera so you can see how messed up the desk is. When I didn't take a photo it's facing downwards.
Oh, well you want to face the light away from your camera and to the subject. if you point it directly at the camera it will focus on the light and make your room seem darker than it actually is, or is your room actually very dark?

Right now it's dark. I might post a daytime (or with the room's light) photo.

I'm leaving the forum, if anyone cared. You can find me on OC or FFR.
To the left is my printer that has been out of ink for months, along with an exercise bike I hop on when I know I'm just gonna be sitting in my chair for a long time, might as well exercises.
And as you can see I like to keep my light literature by my side.

here's my laptop's setup, untouched, exactly as it is right now.
As usual, a fairly cluttered desktop.

The books are for school, and my desktop image is Skyrim. :happy.gif:
I need the external keyboard because it's much more comfortable than the keyboard on my laptop.
