Blah. I'm nervous. I've always dreamed of this. The reason I'm doing it is I want to be an air transport (The kind that you fly with in an airliner) pilot. I'm going up in a 2006 Cessna 172SP with a G1000. But the thing is, I've been interested in flying ever since I was 4. And I'm 13. So I know pretty much all the basics. Especially since I've been flying in Microsoft's Flight Simulators ever since then. But the problem is that lessons cost quite a bit. Around $7000 to be specific (To get your Private Pilot's License). Or around $250 per lesson. So I'm gonna get a summer job at the local amusement park next summer. They accept 14 year olds to do the sweeping and sometimes operate the carnival games. Have any of you guys ever done it? If you have, got any tips? If you do, then thanks in advance.
I wish I could offer advice but I'm totally jelly atm, I wish I could fly, I hate heights but yearn to fly is much greater. I wish I could give encouragement but sadly I can't oh well but getting a job would help even if you can only muster about $250 a pay period it would take a load of stress off your parents.

Nice bird. I have a good bit of experience with the G1000 system. At least, when it comes to installing the firmware and configuring one. Where is your flight taking place? G1000s are ridiculously expensive, so you don't typically see them outside of large flight training centers.

Never attribute to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.

That's the first time I've laughed at someone's post in days.

Not a memepost, good luck flying.
