Nobody's being manipulated. They have free will. They can choose not to shop today. Hell, cigar international advertised on my facebook today. I went on their site, saw a lot of good deals, and then closed the page after deciding I've already spent enough money from my current pay check. Not buying something is the easiest thing in the world to do.
I disagree somewhat. You may be able to control your impulses, but a lot of people, including some I know, see the word 'sale' or 'discount' or the like and go crazy. The stores aren't necessarily forcing the people to do these things, but they are taking advantage of it by doing these kind of 'one day sales' and whatnot.
Funny story, somewhat related: There's a store in my neighborhoood that has, for roughly a year, had a sign advertising a "going out of business liquidation sale". I haven't passed by a single day where they haven't had some sort of sale advertised.
Hi i am wegie125 here reporting news about a man that looked like paper he was wandering the streets with his pet bingu when he got depants and everything went wrong he got angry and became angerypaper.
Also, nice news post goanimals123, typical to your nature.
No, if you knew ANYTHING about history, you'd know that the United STates is the ONLY country that has EVER done anything wrong. No other country in the world has EVER done something wrong. Ever. Every other country is like a saint. Every single bad thing in the world has been caused by the U.S.
(I've made a post like this before, and the last time I did, some dumbass thought I was being serious, so I'm just going to say now that this is a sarcastic post.)
What a *****.
My dad told me about this during my breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast...Yum....
Anyways, personally I think this woman should be punished. It was wrong to do what she did.
"Ooooh it was probably just competitive shopping!" No, it wasn't. She pulled out pepper spray and sprayed a wide range of people. That to me sound like a crime. She sure does show a good example for her kids too.
"Come on kids! It's time to go assault an elderly man for that new MW3 game so you can annoy everyone with your mic!"
Plus one to you.

If your wandering why Black friday is called balck friday, my dad told me that when companies dont have much money, they write their stuff in red. But when there doing good, they write in black. In black friday, all the companies write in black.
Um, not exactly.
"The day's name originated in Philadelphia, where it originally was used to describe the heavy and disruptive pedestrian and vehicle traffic which would occur on the day after Thanksgiving. Use of the term started before 1966 and began to see broader use outside Philadelphia around 1975. Later an alternative explanation began to be offered: that "Black Friday" indicates the point at which retailers begin to turn a profit, or are "in the black"." actually from my experience black and the ghetto are some nice people, it all depends on how you treat them you treat them with respect they treat you with respect for the most part. I know a pretty ghetto kid and hes really nice and respectful and he even said it to me if your respectful and chill person and don't look like a snoby kid you generally will be fine in the ghetto. He said don't appear like you have tones of money though cause then people may want your cash.
My sociology teacher is working on her post doc. If you'd like, I can gladly arrange for the two of you to speak so you can hear right from the horses mouth that they are low class.
I am from the middle class and i stayed from 7 PM yesterday to 5:30 AM today at an electronics store.

Woo for stereotype-busting!
No. You were out past midnight and loitered in public all night. That's considered low class behavior by the dominant culture. Your economic status here is irrelevant.

It's a tradition in my family so excuse me for carring it on, im sorry for offending you with my "low-class behavior", So if you'll excuse me, I'm leaving my nice house in the middle of suburbia to live in the projects, like a ****ing "low-class" person would!

He already said there isn't a direct connection with economic status and "low class" behavior; I agree with him on that as well. He's not saying you're poor, he's saying that you're partaking in activities that are associated with lower-class people (loitering, getting deals, etc). You could be filthy rich and still be considered low-class if you go shopping on Black Friday; your behavioral patterns don't correlate with your economic status in this case.
That is, that's what I got from it... Regardless, you're not opening your mind to the possibility that he is correct, which is a bad move on your part. If you're ever 100% confident in something, you're lying to yourself, and should look into not being so stubborn and one-way about things.

So I'm low class because I shop in Aldi, of which by stereotypes is a place for cheap good and therefore 'lower class', but actually has high quality goods?
Spotsylvania. Close enough to NoVa. I consider it NoVa.

Queues for the win :biggrin.gif:
I tried to give you a +1, but I got a message saying that I have reached my quota for the day .
Classy.
For me, I am glad that this isn't a common thing in Australia.
You can see jewellery stores have 70% off every day, yet it won't draw a single crowd.
Um, not exactly.
