I rarely get anything for my birthday, or Christmas.
My stupid excuses for parents didn't even remember my last birthday.
I really despise the rich and the spoiled because they have no idea what my life, and other's lives are like.
To me, it doesn't take much to make me happy.
However, sadly, I'm rarely happy.
It's the people with nothing who make the most out of the little things........
I salute you for this.
You shouldn't hate rich or spoiled people. Unless they're directly screwing you. But they get depressed too. There was this video explaining how even though you're very successful, you reach a new norm of your life. The norm is the middle between depression and happiness. Every time you get a new house, or that promotion happens, you're happiness goes up...for awhile...until it becomes norm. Then when they screw up a bit, have to sell a house because they lost their job, so they're back to the life they were before, they become depressed as well, maybe as much as you are right now. I won't go further in to this though. And I would link the video to you, but I can't really find it.
Heh, the batteries in my wireless mouse died, and my old optical is broken, so I'm literally using an ancient ball mouse from years ago... Because I can't afford Batteries.
Not sure how that is really relevant, Just that this is a very shitty time of the year to lose ones Job... And the government is fecking slow to do anything that involves paying you money that you paid into for the last 6 years for unemployment. Oh well.
Christmas has just been another day for me for the last 4 years. No reason to think this year will be any different. Especially since I have more important things to worry about. Like trying to figure out how the **** to make money from my game without seeming like a douche.
Good for you! As long as you are with your family, thats all what matters! Some greedy kids say Christmas is about the presents and I say back to them "OK, so when your 18 and your parents kick you out, theres not gonna be 30 presents under the tree. If you're lucky you will get maybe 5." but once again, thats a great decision.
I can see where you're coming from with this. I don't usually want very much when given an opportunity to buy something, either. Don't punish yourself, though. After all, you should get something if they at least offer you the opportunity to... You don't need to ask for anything if you don't want to, but in this situation, I'd search pretty much every shopping site/store I like and choose a single item out of all of them that I am absolutely sure I want. Maybe you could do that. Just ask for a single, moderately priced item that you're sure that you want. Just because you want to be humble doesn't mean you should just decide to ignore someone who really wants to get you a gift.
Nice one mate. Wish there were more folks like you.
Money for a charity is one option. It's certainly the most admirable one. Or you could spend some time abroad digging wells in 3rd world countries, or similar. However I seem to recall a car being mentioned. How about insurance? Is that already taken care of, or could they pay for that? (Ask for fully comp.) How about some lessons in advanced driving? Just thinking of some other options in case the charity thing doesn't go down well......
EDIT: I just think it would also be a good idea to consider how you might make the most of that lovely car you're getting. What an awesome present! Maybe take a look at the sound system that comes with it, then ask for it to be customised so it's more powerful? Or some modifications to give the engine more of a kick?
p.s. I ****ing love cars. You picking up on that?! :tongue.gif:
I can see you like cars. But I live in the city, so cars are unnecessary where I'm from.
How about you post one more time so you get a cool title?

I'm in the same boat.
The suggestions are perfect.

Hating on MLP is like hating on Disney movies; they are made for all ages. - Rowsdower

Go with that, snacks are pretty cheap.
It's never too early to start saving for college.
If they don't let you do that, ask them for a psychiatrist. For them.
Or donate it to the wikimedia foundation. Either way.
Come Check out TerminalCraft!
