I had my first "girlfriend" when I was 9. Of course, she wasn't exactly what's considered a girlfriend by today's standards, but as far as being 9 goes, her and I were very close. We did practically everything together; hell, she was even my first kiss. I don't really see anything wrong with it-- an innocent, and mostly ignorant relationship at that age is kind of cute... in a sense.
The little thing that irks me is the Facebook poll:
1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1x0 = ??
A - 8 (30% answer this)
B - 0 (70% should never reproduce)
Considering that all of us are taught BODMAS, BIMDAS, BIDMAS or whatever from a fairly young age, the idiocy astounds me. I lose faith in my generation every time this happens.
I thought it was PEMDAS?
On Topic: At my school people didn't really start dating until the very end of 5th grade, which I personally think is waaay to early.
My six year old sister claims she had a boyfriend that she broke up with.

Meh.
I'm 13, and I hang out with this girl..
Neither of us consider to be dating, we just hang out and do stuff.
But every shallow dolt at my school is like, 'OOHH ITS DAT COUBLE' or the teachers mutter stuff like 'They shouldn't hang out! This is 8th grade! And its a boy and a girl!' when we pass them.

Kids have ALWAYS done this, the difference is, now, its becoming more sexualised and "public" I spose the word is.
i.e. 15 years ago girls experimented with makeup, from age 3-10, they went from creating artful masterpieces akin to Picasso Ronald MCdonald to looking like a pepped version of barbie.
NOW: It is not uncommon to see 8-10 year olds with blue eyeshadow and bright red lipstick walking down the street, and the makeup is skillfully applied and is what they wear everyday
THEN: Children dressed up in mommys clothes, walked round in her shoes, being silly, using their imagination etc
NOW: Society has catered for the needs of 8yos wanting to dress up. All I see is 8/10yo going down the street in tiny miniskirts, trashy tops and childs size stillettos...nothing is left to the imagination.
THEN: Dating/Marrying was more childhood fun. Girls would dress up as a bride, marry their teddy or guy best friend, they would play doctor etc
NOW: They are not pretending. They date, they kiss, they "play" doctor.
IMO its sick. Trouble is society has to change, and clothes like that should be removed from shelves, but that won't happen :sad.gif: Its no use parents telling their kids not to wear/do those things, as kids these days are getting sneakier.
I did have a point, but now I am all angered and disgusted again so I'm going to go take some water and deep breaths.
Exactly why I broke up with my girlfriend a while back.
She was all like, "so i herd u liek sum1 els. I thort u luvved me? :'("
I stared at it for a while, trying to figure out what the dyslexic ***** was trying to say.
Problem is, I'm 13 and just messing around. It's not like it's anything AMAZING.
I remember when I was 12 people thought I was weird for not having kissed, let alone gone out with a girl.
Meanwhile at school I was getting near top marks while everyone else had low marks.

Being a kid is no fun these days I guess...We had fun growing up on an almond orchard and spent lots of time outside doing stupid kid stuff. I was also one of those kids who put school ahead of "relationships".

Anyone can fly. The secret is to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
Well I personally dont give a **** if 8 year old kids are dating. Its THEIR life after all. And I find that these kids are a lot better than older people if they can somehow mantain a good relationship. But well, people have to start their dating life somewhere.
Sometimes I just have to shake my head at the clothes parents buy for their children. Don't get me wrong, I'm no puritan. In fact, I think we'd be healthier as a society if we were all nudists. Then maybe we wouldn't have so much of a fetish for seeing people naked. But I just don't understand parents who dress their children like whores. It makes me think there's something going on.

This enlightening post brought to you courtesy of a serious overabundance of free time.
As a kid i got told to repect women/girls but i really can't respect the mothers who dress their kids like that.
It's apsolutely saddening when i see these child beuty pagents, they make their kids wear swim suits, mini skirts and even make them take botox seriously your just asking them to be kidnapped by a petofile.
All the problems like this come from one thing: the parents being lazy or forceing that onto them.
That and maybe peer-pressure.
i think it's about time the govoment takes action and forces every/any parent under the age of 30/40 to go to a parenting course so that they may choose what is better for them.
Teachers should also teach "be your own person" ALOT more because everyone wants to be a "gangster" and not what they really want to be.
Also, buying a wii/360/ps3/etc for a 3/5 year old is innopropite there should be a law that only people over the age of 8 may play this would stop of angry parents (soccer moms) complaining about "vilolint video games" (tbh its their own falut for buying the game in the first place)
Anyways, i blame lazy parents/tv theres nothing on tv besides moronic sope opreas and really really bad reality shows i.e: jursy shores.
I got taught as a kid to be nice, patient and tolerent (i do swear a fair bit but only at home and not in public) but i cannot wait idley by while ignorent people let their kids watch the poor quilty badly written trash on tv. Action needs to be taken otherwise the future is bleak.

But seriously, it's kinda annoying when they rub it in your face.
It still is for the most part, but it's odd how polar exceptions can be made without much talk about it.

Some ~8yo screamed "Come at me bro"...
I lol'd heartily. Thank you sir :'D
But now there's nothing I wish more than to go back to primary school with the old gang...
