So i was on my way to school on the bus with my friend today and all of a sudden a girl asked if she could borrow his phone to send a text to her boyfriend and my friend said no. Then she started calling him a cocksucker and he called her a useless **** whos going nowhere then she started slapping him and punching him then he lost it and pushed her. Then she faked getting hurt and called her parents and now my friend could get expelled even though she was punching and slapping him while calling him names and all he did was call her a **** and push her once and she wasnt even hurt. I explain this to the principal but shes a feminist and she just says he shouldn't hit a woman and now hes going to pay for it. WHAT THE ****. Why is it when a woman hits a man its nothing but when a man hits a woman HOLY **** ITS WORLD WAR THREE.
I feel this video is relevant.
-snip-
EDIT: **** sorry guys for the triple post.
Those stupid bitches on the view. I wish they could grow a penis, then have someone chop it off and see how they feel.
Well my friend hasn't been expelled but he had to apologize and he got a 1 week suspension. She just got a slap on the wrist. It's ********. I don't hate women but this **** is making me change my mind.
Ok that's not too bad. You didn't get the best of it but you didn't get the worst. It sounds to me like a raging bull-dike principal realized that there was no grounds to punish your friend and let him off "easy" in hopes that he wouldn't rock the boat. He could easily go after her job but as I mentioned before, it may end up badly.

None of that was 'adjusted' to account for the difference in level of education, productivity, etc, which is what I was talking about.
The simple fact is that men make more money because men enter higher-paying fields. If a woman were motivated enough to overcome society's stereotypes, she could easily get an engineering job and make the same amount as a man(Well it wouldn't be that easy, but the point remains).
In Europe, I guess. However, the fact is that all we have are interpretations of the adjusted pay gap, since women and men simply work different jobs. Also, no feminist organization is going to take maternal leave into account when calculating an adjusted pay gap(Probably would account for another 2-5% in terms of productivity?)
I know very little about maternity leave. Without more information on the subject, all I can say is that if the woman is not performing work for the company while she is on maternity leave she should not be paid full wages. No different than if someone is sick and they are not performing work for the company, they should not be paid full wages.
Not really, but EVERYBODY is going to have to work hard to attain their dreams. Some have to work harder than others, that's life. If society does everything within its power to keep from explicitly discriminating, then I think you should just man up(metaphorically speaking) and surge past the implicit discrimination if something's important enough to you. It's disrespectful to those who eradicated the explicit discrimination not to do so. Furthermore, if you give in to the implicit discrimination, you are propagating more implicit discrimination by enforcing stereotypes.
The fact that women have to invest more resources (money, time, energy) to receive the same amounts of pay as men, (when one is controlling for other factors), because they are women is what needs addressing.
If you had shitty parents who told you you should be nothing more than a housewife, I'm sorry. Shitty hand in life, everybody gets them.
Unfortunately, ingrained discrimination is a lot harder to change because it is typically passed from parents to children and so requires education in order to change it. Constant reinforcement makes changing very difficult.
I think I agree after reading the literature that there's still a bit of explicit discrimination against women in the workplace, just not nearly as much as everyone pretends there is.
It can be very difficult to prove that a person is discriminated against in the workplace, especially when employers can just invent a fictional reason for why the person is payed less in order to hide their real reasons.

Because women want equal rights and social treatment except where it works against them.
Men in America are forced to sign up for the Selective Services, with a jail sentence if you refuse (Not that they ask) which means at any point in time, say in College where you spent tons of money to go, they can just uproot you and send you to war.
Women(for the most part)get mad when I ever even suggest it should be mandatory for them as well. This actually comes up in a lot of talks I have when people say women should be given the option to take direct combat roles. Which I agree with.
To me that's textbook sexism, that's being backed by the Federal government.
Pretty much the same goes for racism, if you're white, anyone can do or say anything they want about you and it's not racism. But you show any dislike towards someone of another race for even non-racial reasons (For example dressing like a retard) then good luck getting out of that ****.
I find the word "feminism" extremely outdated. Back when women were largely oppressed and sexism was much more widespread and accepted as a social norm, it made sense to call it feminism because you were for women, which usually meant being against the current mindset of men.
Now, equalism is the term that should be used because true feminists just want all sexes to be treated equally.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't realize that and you get a whole lot of "feminists" who will victimize themselves over any interaction with a man, even if it means treating the man unfairly. Especially in cases like OP's, where it was an equal exchange, but the man came out on the bottom. If anything, we need some "manism" or "maleism" so that men stop being discriminated against when it comes to criminal accusations against women.
This reminds me of when my dad needed help getting to his counseling sessions (he's legally blind and can't drive or get around by himself very easily) so he went to the women's shelter since it was closest to his home. They didn't throw him out or anything, they just said "You do know this is a women's help center right?" His response: "Are you going to just turn me away?" They didn't turn him away because they realized that men need help just like women do. Not sexist.
Then look at the women's center at my university. I don't even feel comfortable going in there. They have outright banned men from entering because a lot of women in there are victims of abuse and don't feel comfortable around men. I can see how general comfort is an issue, but perpetuating sexism against men isn't the way to solve insecurities like that. It's just going to make them feel justified in their hatred of all things male.
I got sent out of class today because i tried to explain the double standards of what happened to my friend to the teacher. A girl in the class also called me a "sexist womanizer" and "You must be gay if you don't like women". I don't hate women i was just trying to explain the double standards of it.
And the ***** who did this to my friend got a high 5 from the girl. Goddamn i hate Australia.

Be more persistent.
if she says "you must be gay" you should use her logic against her
"You must be a lesbian if you think women deserve better treatment"

Oh lord, welcome to the world.
A world where men cannot speak out against women being mean to men without being called "gay" or "sexist". Urgh.
"I refuse to have sex with my husband anymore, one kid is enough for me and it's my choice, when I have any sexual thoughts, I satisfy myself with other men, my husband should understand, but you ccan't expect a man to understand anything that complex."
It's true. In America, only men must sign up for selective service. I'm all for sex equality. Make them sign up for selective service too.

I hate you. ♥
You heard that, green and red.
Continue women -> Happier, funner life.
Hey! Funner is a word! No squiggly line under it!
YES!
Feminism = Men and Women have equal rights = You push me, I push you.
PROBLEM?

It's scary, really.
Man does the same to a woman "OMG, YOU CAN'T TALK TO A WOMAN THAT WAY!!!!"

I fixed this for you.
Eh? What does that have to do with Australia?
It obviously happened in Australia, although it certainly isn't a localized problem.

Heres a quote from one of the mini blogs.
