Are you implying that the women and children of Uganda are being raped, kidnapped and murdered by rebels because they are too lazy to want to live moral lives?
Then, explain to me why it is that the masses haven't said enough is enough and wiped out the rebels and instilled a working justice system. You can't, because the masses aren't willing to stand up against rape.
Probably because those rebels have guns, LOTS OF GUNS.
Effectively sending sheep to a pack of wolves.
It's Africa. You don't think that the good people of the country couldn't band together and procure guns? It's not particularly hard. They're just afraid, and until they nut up, they're going to be oppressed, whether the US intervenes or not.
Well, I was prepared to take anything you said before this thread seriosuly, giving you the benefit of the doubt, despite the fact that your signature has a bible quote and a gun on it....
But now I know for sure you're living in cloud gun nut cuckoo land, where every group of poor starving villagers can band together, buy an armies worth of weaponry despite not having enough money to feed themselves and then tackle a group of militia who have been fighting all their lives and are rather adept at shooting people.
Wow. Ok...
Let me know when you become an adult please. You've obviously got no idea what you're talking about kid.

And there we have it. A fine specimen of the right wing nut. It has realized that it cannot counter its opponent with fact, and as such, resorts to completely unwarranted rudeness and insults. It knows that it has been cornered, and that it is only a matter of time before the pack of Liberals closes in for the kill.

I didn't insult him, he insulted me, just like you're now insulting me and pulling politics out of your ass when that's completely irrelevant.

I apologize for bringing politics into it, but you do have a gun and religious quote in your signature, and you insulted him by calling him a "kid that obviously has no idea what he is talking about" when he pointed out a gaping flaw in your plan. And you have decided to vote for Cain, so that right there...well, nevermind. I will just drop it.

He didn't point out any flaws, he only thought he did. Guns are easy to get in Africa. Why do you think the LRA is as powerful as it is in the first place? It's not like they had a hard time getting tooled up. In fact the only reason the LRA exists is because the GOU is corrupt. Of course, the LRA is also corrupt so that's not saying much. It's up to the people to both cleanse the government and wipe out the LRA. US intervention alone is not going to cut it. US intervention alone is never enough. That's why it took us ten god damn years to get out of Iraq. We had to completely restructure their government.
On a side note, stop throwing red herrings at me. You can't argue a point of view by saying "well, You're a republican and you like guns!" Assuming you aren't in college yet, I'm letting you know right now that using red herrings to argue a point of view will get you a failing grade on your paper.

Your solution is for the people, the vast majority of whom have absolutely no training with weapons or fighting whatsoever, to fight oppression. Unless they were somehow able to raid an armory or military base, they would literally be taking sticks to a tank fight. The organizations they would be fighting against are trained and armed. They are not ball-less, they are simply non-suicidal.

And I'm letting you know that looking like a religious gun nut that readily says he will vote for questionable Republican candidates for president severely affects the credibility of what you say.

The LRA is not formally trained, nor do they have tanks. They're just a bunch of thugs with guns. You obviously don't know much about this topic.
They have a lot more experience with gun-fighting and intimidation. I also don't have to be an expert on this subject to know what you are proposing is wrong.

How is it wrong? Explain to me how the good people in the country staging a revolution against a corrupt government and a band of slack jawed rebels is wrong?

For the reasons I just explained: they have no former training or experience, no armaments; they would be fighting a battle on two fronts. One against a government military which almost certainly does have tanks, aircraft, that kind of thing, and on the other, a group of rebels that have been terrorizing them! It is not wrong in the sense of an incorrect doing, it is suicidal to attempt on their own. They should hardly be blamed of being too lazy to do anything about it.
Your original argument was that U.S. intervention would not help, that they needed to do this on their own. And I am trying to explain why that would be hard to do.

The fact of the matter is, that's exactly why.
It is not.

Enter puppet regimes and imperialism.
Look, don't get mad at me, I honestly think we have no business going there.

It started with advisers, then things escalated.
