Theres a girl I knew and she honestly would always ask exactly what she was just told. The teacher was like, "You have to have it in by Wednesday!" and the girl was like, "When do we have to have it in by? You haven't even told us!" and it basically went like that every day. It honestly made me have a rage seizure, she is that stupid.
Oh my god. I had a few class mates like that. They pissed me off so much. I swear to god I felt like slapping them across the face every time.
Well at least it's better than in Germany, where the "Infotainment" tv show "Galileo" statet:
"A compass works because the needle gets attracted by the great amount of magnetical iron under the north pole."
Maybe their their editorial staff made a mistake confusing the word Eis (Ice) and Eisen (iron), but that still doesn't explain the extreme amount of stupidness...
Once a child asked why the water didn't fly of the earth and why everyone in the southern hemisphere didn't fly off into space.
There's this one girl in my English class. We use computers in the class. My teacher wanted to start putting assignments in Google Docs, but didn't know how to protect them from editing. So as we're trying to read it, she was the one that was always writing "funny" notes everywhere, and kept on deleting the whole god damn document. Oh, and she easily gets distracted and often misses a lot of points. So when the teacher asks why she isn't paying attention, she was actually talking like she was blaming the teacher for not having enough presence.

That reminds me so much of the SAME GIRL. She would always say the teacher was at fault when she did something stupid. Or she'd blame me and my friends.

Child in Computers, doesn't know that making a wallpaper in Paint and making it 500 pixels x 200 pixels will come with the best results.
I'm Australian too and i must say that most Australians (school kids anyway) are like you described. But you probably already know this. I blame our shitty education system.

I blame our lack of punishment for those who misbehave,
"They broke the ****ing window now go punch 'em or somethin', miss!"
"No that would be wrong!", is a conversation I had a fair bit!
Are you sure that the school was good? Their stupidity might have been the result of no one telling them bugger all.
On topic, I have this one guy in my class that never focuses. He is half asleep all day and when tests come, he gets less than half and yet he gets into the higher classes. Not to mention the time I ended up paired with him for Science fair. Be did nothing but bring in 2 printed pages while I gave up my spring break to get the board done. When we got the reward, it was a 20$ gift card, so basically I put in 30$ for 20$, while he did second to nothing. The next guy to be partnered to him didn't have any better luck.
Also, Sergeant Hunt, we never finished the war of the Kiwionium.

That brings up so much rage from my own graphics class. This is a second year course and the teacher has yet to teach responsible use of the gradient tool. Second year; people are still using rainbow gradients.
I joined the class hopefully to learn more on graphic design, but instead I'm caught learning Photoshop for the third year in a row.
In my class at school there are groups of people.
There are about 5 girls who talk about music a lot and which singer they thing is the hottest.
There are 5 boys that are obsessed with sport and surfing and such
There are 2-3 girls who talk about anime and such.
There is a group of boys and girls that talk about whatever.
There are 2 dumb girls (One of them is blond) who never shut up, and use there phone in class. They also ask the most random questions at the most inappropriate times. For example in Music class they asked the teacher about Oral. I think the teacher was talking about Aural.
There are 5 boys who talk about how Call of Duty is "awesome" and one of them wants a tomahawk because of Black Ops.
Yep. That's my class.

A few years ago my Computer teacher decided to teach us how to use GIMP. I was really excited because I had dabbled with it a few months prior and wanted to show-off my knowledge.
Imagine the look on my face when each lesson was "write your name with the text tool and use every single filter on it".

Holy crap! That really sucks!
In my graphics class I'm learning formal drawing. Like drawing in perspective and mathematical drawing (orthographic, Oblique, Isometric) and stuff.
at my age of 15, everyone just talks about getting other people to suck their d*cks. It annoys me so much
and yes, i live in New South Wales :sleep.gif: its the same everywhere
I had someone who thought that 9/11 took place in Hawaii, because Pearl Harbor did as well.
I... I... I... don't know what too say.
I actually want to find those people and slap them.. O_O

The audacity of that is astounding. What was that for anyways?

A Title screen for a DVD, the worst part is some people saved it as a .jpg and complained about the quality.
