Evargon, Literally almost everything I like is disliked here and everything I dislike is praised.
That's a shame. Really- it is. I see a lot of stuff I disagree with or dislike on here too. But I don't suddenly decide to whip out the wide brush and paint the entire place as... well, I'm not sure what you are trying to paint it is. You are just sort of trying to say "it's bad" but providing nothing so far but "you guys like what I don't like"... which isn't much of a reason.
If you guys liked satanism or pedophilla, you would use the same overused argument that "it's harming nobody".
For one thing, satanism doesn't hurt anybody, to my understanding, and for the most part what people will call "satanism" is actually some other religion. The second of course does harm. More to the point, I've seen neither advocated here, so you're argument is a something of logical strawman.
I will not let some dinguses who boast about their IQ because it is all they have tell me I am wrong.
I pray to god for some sub-cultures to just be erased from existence despite being atheist, but that harms no one. So it is allowed by the inane logic that off-topic follows.
Well, see here's the thing, I think you are going about it all wrong.
For every thing you believe in, every view you hold- you need to hold it weakly. That is- you need string opinions, weakly held. Instead of invoking a knee jerk reaction whenever somebody raises a valid criticism for what you believe or like, try to consider their perspective, ideally without dismissing it outright. Basically, it's fine to not like something, but don't be a **** about it. I'm not really following your second part. why is "praying that some subcultures be erased despite being atheist" in some way something you are not allowed to think? I mean, seriously- there are people out there who will kill others for the most ridiculous reasons, and you're essentially complaining that people will take a "no harm, no foul" approach to online forum communications? That seems a tad strange. Of course you are 'allowed' to hate something. you are allowed to hold crazy ideas. There is no law that says it is illegal, and there is no reason for others to be "obligated" to somehow say "you aren't allowed to feel that way". What you seem to dislike is not that there are people that hold views and voice that don't fit in your moral and political tapestry, but that they are allowed to do so.
As to the original topic, I have no idea, and personally if known at all surely at the very least disliked as much as I am liked... I've certainly had my share of arguments (which don't even come close to approaching what I would call a flamewar, as I generally try to avoid much ad hominem).
As a Christian on the forum? Ehhh
This raises a good point, there are sometimes a lot of strong opinions, strongly held here, which can cause a lot of bitterness. Personally, it feels silly, particularly with regards to religion. I am generally Atheist myself, but I have friends who can be described as fundamentalist christians. They respect my beliefs, and I respect theirs. They "pray for me" and as ridiculous as I think the idea is, I thank them for it. Because as far as I'm concerned, and in their own belief framework, that is their way of showing respect. I believe that militant atheism is no better than militaristic religion. And the fact is, religions and different beliefs exist, and while a good debate here and there about it is healthy, it's important to try to keep in mind that there are people that hold the beliefs that you are attacking dear to their heart and depending on how you phrase your arguments it's easy to be seen as a 'personal' attack- (stuff like "religions are stupid" people who believe in a magical man in the sky are idiots", etc- blanket statements don't help! And there are plenty of smart people who believe in all sorts of things, so to dismiss people who hold a belief you do not share as somehow stupider for holding that belief is downright ridiculous.
I sort of sidebared into religion there, apologies for that and I don't intend to derail the thread (as there is a thread for that already that I refuse to respond to for the reasons stated).
I'm almost completely sure that nobody in this area of the forums knows me.
EDIT:Ack! Crap! Forgot to add something.
Am I accepted? Well, I got almost no profile views or anything, but everyone I meet seems to like me I guess. (Oh god, now I'm sounding like I'm bragging) I'm sorry if that came off as boastful to you.

Again, I'm very accepted, for I am the god of the bronies.
...And so modest about it too!
Am I accepted here? Don't know.
Do I need to be accepted here? Don't know, probably not.
My ego can handle the odd smackdown for being flippant, and I like a good debate. I try not to feed the trolls, (including my "Inner Troll") so the report button is my primary defence against feeding them...
My opinions are my own, and often differ from other OT posters. Makes MCF:OT a **** of a lot more interesting than the little circlejerks of many smaller sites, with little or no diversity of opinion, and too much mutural masturbation.
Love me, like me or loathe the sight of me, I'm here, and I'm staying. Get used to it.
I think people in general off topic hate me since I post conservative views on political topics(except other conservatives, which are quite uncommon or just don't speak up enough), but people in Computers, Science, and Tech luv me.
OT:
As a person on the forum? Maybe
As a Christian on the forum? Ehhh
Did someone say, "weaboo?"

I wonder if sansavarous is online...
It is. Brady's just doing some ego-boosting :tongue.gif:
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
"If along the way you find friends 'n they're good, they'll be good if not it's life, that's what happens"
Know by not that many people.
Damn you forum only allowing two lines in the signature.
- Thank you slimes.
I'm unknown and unloved. A stranger in these parts.
Time to go cry myself to sleep.
DethPotato used love and acknowledgment
It was super effective!
I've seen you around. C'mere! *Huggles*
