No, it is an inevitable part of life, as others have said. Although, I was at some point in my life, just like everybody here, whether they remember it or not.
P.S. Should I post in this section more often? I am starting to read it.
It's a yes and no thing. I would hate to lose my family, yet I'm scared of my future....sooooooooooooooooooo 2012 come on please happen...wait don't...yes...no..yes
*random hero walks into my room*
*I turn around in my chair with my high hat, moustache, monocle and rabbit on my lap*
"I have been excepting you"
"DR. SUMMIT, YOUR EVIL PRACTICES ARE OVER"
"Now, now, no need to get angry my dear fellow. It's not my practices that will be over. It's yours..."
*reaches for a lever*
"FOREVER! MUHAHA MUHAHA MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Self destruct in t-minus 60 seconds"
"YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS!"
*evil lair shakes*
"Why should I get away with this my dear fellow? The only thing I ever wanted was to avenge you. And now I will. With the entire city above you."
"10... 9... 8... 7..."
"YOU EVIL *******"
*Pieces of the ceiling crumble down*
*random hero starts running*
"TOO LATE MY FRIEND!"
"3... 2... 1..."
"GOODNIGHT!"
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It's a bit odd. When I'm depressed, I kind of want to die, but if I feel I'm getting hurt to the point of death or something, (which I don't think I have :S) I fear death, and hope for it to not come. It's kind of strange. It's as if I have a strong will to live, but I don't want to at the same time. They really contradict themselves.

I would tell you about how awesome I am down here, but I have a feeling you probably already know that. <- Please. ._.
I'm not really scared of it, just because once you're dead, it's beyond you. Injuries scare me more than death, just because you have to live with injuries, but once you're dead, it's not like you feel it so I don't really fear it. Although, I don't want to die, nor do I like the thought of it; but it's inevitable.
Do you currently fear death? If not, were you ever scared/frightened of death?
I shouldn't think so. I don't think it was all that bad before I was born.
Consider that. Before people are born, (or conceived, I suppose) they are more or less dead. I don't have any conscious memories from before I was born, anyway, so I have no reason to think that the consciousness transcends birth or death.
I do not fear it, however. One is ill-advised to fear the inevitable; feeling uncertain, that is different, but outright fear of death there is simply no reason for, from where I'm standing. If you ask me, it is the uncertainty that people are afraid of, not death itself.
How do we know what death is even like? There's no one dead AND living to tell us. Why fear the unknown when it could just as easily be good? Why fear the unknown when it could just as easily be bad? Why fear something when it will only make your opinion on something be bad, and make you miserable? Why not fear something when you may've wished you have?
As you can see, the unknown is, well, unknown.

As someone somewhere whose name I cannot recall once said, every living being should feel some sense of alarm at the prospect of ceasing to exist. While I don't necessarily fear dying, I would, of course, rather live - mainly because I do not know what happens when one dies, and for all I know I may enjoy life more than death.
