I saw Ken Jennings deliver his famous quote: "I, for one, welcome our new computer overlords." I was in the Electrical Engineering building here on campus at a seminar on AI put on by IBM and watched the second part of the human vs. computer Jeopardy competition live. And from that simple quote a meme was born. So who else "was there when it happened?"

well i was playing mine craft when i saw herobrine waving his arms in a dervish manor :ohmy.gif: lol.....but i don't really think i've witnessed any famous events
I survived the Great Hanshin Earthquake of 1995. :unsure.gif:
Luckily you got out unscathed, correct? That actually sounds terrible, I wouldn't be able to survive an earthquake without running off into some woods.
I was rigorously browsing this forum when Obama gave the announcement that Osama was killed. Amazing, right?
Ah, well, I was browsing the speedsolving forum when the Rubik's Cube was computer checked by force to prove that all combinations of the cube were solvable in 20 moves? Sweet? No?
I was...riding my bike when I heard of the H1N1 initial scare announcement? Nothing?
I don't witness that many things. I have no memory of anything happening on September 11th, either, and I still believe it's just a meme no one's told me didn't happen yet.

I survived the Great East Coast Quake of 2011.
When the rover Spirt landed on Mars, I believe I was wrapping up Home Alone (1, I think).
I do mundane things when big things happen. :tongue.gif:
[12:41] Coffeeeeeee!

[16:29] "And lo, the tacos were delicious"
That's really something! (I assume that means you were there at the time. I survived it too but was on the other side of the Pacific.)
