You are in possession of a small device that enables time travel. You simply set the date and location of where you want to go to and it transports you there. You will only be able to observe, and you will be invisible and intangible to the people and animals of that period of time. After a period of 3 hours, you will be transported back to the present date.
I think I would go to a disaster area when it happened. I think that would be pretty nice. I would also then look into the Roanoke mystery. I wouldnt do library of alexandria because I couldnt save anything, and I'd get depressed over it. Also yeah 100 million years back dinosaurs.
Bros, back in time opens parallel universes. Duh. Everyone knows that!
The consequence doesn't effect you as you don't belong to the parallel universe. :happy.gif:
I would go to December 1st, 2010 and MAKE SURE I made myself buy minecraft before Beta so I could get the benefits ><. Next I would prevent my dog from disappearing out of mid air in September (same year). Then I would wait for the time limit to run out.

1. You are basically unable to change anything in the past. You are only allowed to observe.
2. You may go forward in time.
3. You may only Time Travel ONCE.

You do get all the updates, though. I see no difference.
I would travel forwards get lotto numbers go back to normal time.
bam! instant money
WIN! i was waiting for someone to say this obvious win.
1. Go get lotto tickets.
2. Go solve some mysteries.
3. Go into the future 200 years to see the tech and what minecraft is doing then.
4. Go like 2000 years into the future and keep going farther and farther to see how long the human race survives.

Wait, what benefits do Alpha users get?
OT: I'd travel to the 1920s at any random speakeasy so I could enjoy some classy ass music.
Nice question. 3 hour limit is a good variable, and there are many things to be observed, but the best i could think of:
1.- The first thing that came to my mind is to go back exactly to the time Jesus Christ supposedly resurrected and confirm whether it's true or not (i'm atheist, so you can understand why i would like to know this). But there is no way to know the exact day, hour, and place so i can get there. If i could, i would.
2.- The second is to watch Hitler's death. It's easier to find the exact time, date, and place. And of course is very important to the history of the world.
Of course there are many many things i would like to do taking advantage that i can't be affected by anything while i'm time-traveling (this is included too right? as intangible?)Few examples: watch the Chernobyl meltdown really really close, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, etc.
3.- The future, about 1000 years. Find out about new inventions and solutions. Understand future technology and use it in the present.
4.- the really really long way to the past. Take a picture of me besides a t-rex, and print it on a t-shirt. You know, as a souvenir.
A weird one that would be a first: go back in time 10 minutes and stop myself from time traveling, creating the first paradox :smile.gif:
Well, since you stated Time Travel in general and not just travel into the past.
I would simply travel ahead to the date of the next PowerBall drawing and memorize the winning numbers.
Trying to get games written for windows to work on a Linux machine is like trying to put a diaper on an incontinent buffalo. Sure, you might get it all done, but you'll certainly be left with a huge mess, and it's very time consuming.
Where would you go first?
Go back in time, you could **** everything up
Go forward in time... well, you can't because it hasn't happened yet.

Is forward an option?
Now that being said. Ponies.
1) Go back to watch when Notch made Minecraft.
2) Dinosaurs! :laugh.gif:
The consequence doesn't effect you as you don't belong to the parallel universe. :happy.gif:
Roswell, New Mexico - 1947
2. Dinosaurs, to see what happened to them
3. to solve the JFK assassination!

Alpha users get all updates + any expansion packs that Notch may decide to add in the future.
Time traveling historian FTW.

The betrayal of Caesar.
The disappearance of the Olmec civilization.
Jesus, Hammurabi, Xerxes.
The construction of all of the ancient wonders of the world.
Feudal Europe, medieval Russia, the cities of the Maya and the Aztec, the homes of the vikings, ancient periods of all places.
All of history's secrets would be known to me.
