I am mortified of seeing and being around people. I will avoid talking to people, Even my family. If someone comes over to our house, I will go into my room and not come out until they leave. I do not go to school because of this. I am home schooled. I did go to school for 5 Years, But was pulled out because I was on the verge of either hurting or killing myself because of school. I have no "real life" friends, Only skype friends, Who I am very close to. Is this... Strange? And, Any Advice?
Your not scared of people, they are scared of you :tongue.gif:

September 56 2034,The world was hit with a meteor that let out poisonous gasses and every female and male died except for a handful of humans, all of them mutated into horrible creatures except for one male named Steve with only his wits and a handful of logs.....This is his story!
there is nothing wrong with that.
The question to ask is not whether you are afraid of people.
The question is are you okay with behaving this way?
If you don't mind it then you shouldn't worry.
however if it does bother you. then I would suggest making baby steps with social interaction.
start with something you might not be something you are necessarily comfortable with but you can still handle.
And gradually work your way out into the world.
Of course not. That's why you're home-schooled, like most children.
Are you saying its bad to be home-schooled?

The fact that you're home schooled rises some questions. Are your parents over protective? You might not see it right away, but are there occasions when you were either taught or told not to talk to people/strangers? I had a friend like that...and i use the term "friend" loosely because i was one of two people he actually trusted enough to walk through his front door. When other people (School friends, parents friends, etc) came over he would burst into tears thinking they were going to take him away. Sadly he was traumatized when social services took him away when he was little.
ANYway...my suggestion, go people watching. Go somewhere that you're around people you don't know. It might be scary at first, but if you just blend in, and nod you head and smile when someone looks at you, then you'll eventually see there's nothing to be afraid of. Try going to the mall, or getting some coffee at a local place. It's fairly easy just to sit around and just watch (NOT STARE) at people and see how they interact. You're human too, and humans are social creatures. So build up a little courage and see there's nothing to be afraid of. Hope that helps.
Look I dont blame you, most people are stupid and obnoxious.....I dont like to be around people like that and I get annoyed about it,but that gives you no reason to run away and be scared

Just try to be a little bit social.
Do you like mmmmbananas?
I have no idea, But whenever I'm around someone I suddenly become scared.
This.
Sounds like you might not have very good social skills, and the only way to improve that is to talk to people.
Agoraphobia more like. Agora = marketplace. It's not only reserved for large spaces, but also crowds. I'm no doctor, though. Go see a psychiatrist.
I am not.
Did it work?

First question
What make you think that people are scary, and why?
