I really hate this, so I have compiled quite a good list demonstrating Jesus is not about forgiveness, the bible is not open to intrepretation, and also Old Testament still applies.
"He said to them, 'But now if you have a purse, take it and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. (Luke 22:36)"
Errrr.... Peace swords, he meant peace swords.
"So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds." (From the NIV Bible, Revelation 2:22-23)"
Jesus will do the torturing himself.
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26)
Love thy parents, or hate them. I can never decide.
Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but with a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's foes will be those of his own household. He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy. (Matthew 10:34-37)
Do you think I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division; for henceforth in one house there will be five divided, three against two and two against three; they will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. (Luke 12:51-53)
Jesus returns, and he is pissed.
This is a very small list of quotes, the new testament is no better than the old. They both advocate certain things, and also here are the verses to prove the old testament is still valid, and it is not open to personal intrepretation.
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20
“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)
All of the vicious Old Testament laws will be binding forever. "It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness..." (2 Timothy 3:16 NAB)
"Know this first of all, that there is no prophecy of scripture that is a matter of personal interpretation, for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God." (2 Peter 20-21 NAB)
Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark.7:9-13 "Whoever curses father or mother shall die" (Mark 7:10 NAB)
“He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” (Matthew 15:4-7)
Peter says that all slaves should “be subject to [their] masters with all fear,” to the bad and cruel as well as the “good and gentle.” This is merely an echo of the same slavery commands in the Old Testament. 1 Peter 2:18
“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19) and “For the law was given by Moses,..." (John 1:17).
“...the scripture cannot be broken.” --Jesus Christ, John 10:35
This is why the old testament applies.
Maybe it is because God is not watching the Earth anymore?
In that case, I wouldn't need to believe in Him.
This is all a question of whether or not I should have faith, not whether or not a god exists. There could still easily be one, just not one that would send me to Hell for not believing.
Evidence is ALWAYS important. Without evidence, everything is just a theory.
The supernatural has no recordable evidence. All evidence is in the head. If you are lucky enough to see the supernatural, there is no way to truly record it.

People keep reminding me I'm going to go to hell for being an atheist, yet that would apply to every religion. A christian might be sent to a different hell for a different religion. I really don't like the comeback. Plus, it draws people into fear to submit them to Christianity, not love and peace.

Psychological evidence. There is no tangible evidence it even exists, though we have to trust what they saw was what they claimed. Or if they saw it at all.

Sorry, but I'm pretty damn happy. If there were an underlying guilt of sin, I would've noticed it, and I wouldn't have gone this far.
Well if god and jesus are as good as everyone says, then surely they wouldn't send someone who has the right to think for him/herself to hell. Think about it.
Hmph. I've recently began questioning whether God is there or not, for I don't find any STRONG evidence that hes real. So why should I follow him blindly? I refuse to put my faith in a deity that never shows me if hes real? How am I supposed to know hes real huh? I mean with all this stuff happening in the world, and the good dying young and criminals roaming about why should I believe theres a god? I've been questioning my Christianity, and have possibly been thinking along the lines of Atheism. Its the only logical way to go in my mind.
I have decided as of late to be the reputation giver and the befriender. If you see that I gave you reputation and added you as a friend, you will know why. Everyone's my friend

Incorrect. There is MASSIVE amounts of audio and video evidence. There's videos recorded of a poltergeist inside this guys house. It's not fake as there are multiple camera views and you can tell there's no strings. Plus, things close too. You can't close something with a string that was also used to pull it.

The only way he could indeed send us to hell if is he shows proof that he actually exists. People believe in god, but they only do that because they were taught to. Why doesn't god come to each individual person? So many questions.

Exactly. I'm not about to believe everything said in a two-thousand year old book. Some people say it "predicts" things, but thats bs. As far as I'm concerned, a few people got together and made arguably the greatest cult phenomenon ever in the history of the world in a book.

We can only make assumptions of the book. We don't know if what Jesus did was real or fake, there has been no evidence to prove so yet so far.

First off, I don't "mock" Him and second off I already converted(baptism when I was 2), its just that how can I possibly know if He is real?
