This bit you are reading now is my signature. It's a block of text that's added to everything I post. So long as it fits within the 255 character limit of course. I think that means spaces too but I'm not really sure.
My threads are always great successes, take notes class!
I'm actually somewhat surprised by how low the average ages are.

Bah. I feel old when I look at the age distribution here. People saying they were born in 95 and 96. Has it really been that long since then? Life is going by so fast... how depressing.
If you are a Battletech/Mechwarrior geek you may enjoy my Timberwolf/MADCAT model (the source of my avatar) (warning: image-heavy link target) I will often edit my posts after I have posted them in an attempt to improve their clarity (I value a few high quality posts over several low quality ones; the more lengthy the post, the more time it requires to edit) so you might want to wait for a while if this post is recent and refresh to see if anything has changed before replying to it.

How come they allow such young mods?
Everywhere i've been you have to be atleast 18+ to apply, and THERES PROOF MATURITY ISNT LINKED TO AGE
And yet age is easily the most useful estimation of maturity.

There is a correlation. You can't deny that if you took the average 12 year old and compared him/her to a 20 year old, there is going to be a difference. Of course there are also exceptions, mature 12 year old and immature 20 year olds but there is still a relationship between maturity and age. Maturity comes through life experiences, and older people generally have more experiences and a more developed brain.

yes but that does not make age=maturity. There is a correlation, yes, but it isn't a sound one. I know 12 yr olds that are more mature than a good portion of the people here including me. Its a bad example since the maturity levels here are EXTREMELY low but you catch my drift.
Well, then, it's a good thing no one said that. All that was said is that it's a good estimation of maturity and there is a strong correlation. And, in my experience, both judging from me when I was younger and other younger people that I talk to now, there is a strong connection between the two. Even those who claim to be really mature for their age tend to be the ones who are some of the least mature for their age, since anyone who was mature for their age would probably not care about their age and would therefore not have to say that they are mature.

Thinking age=maturity isn't very mature.
