On-topic:
I love the sky. Any sort of cloud formation or shape.
The sky is the highlight of my day.
My wallpapers tend to be golden clouds; my favorite of which is this:
Water is actually blue. It is a very faint tint, so it is impossible to see unless in large quantities.
One thing to note, is that water tends to be clouded with algae in larger amounts of water.
You may also be thinking of pools.
Pools are filled with chlorine, which actually are to prevent algae. A side effect of the chlorine is making the water bright blue.
The easiest way to see natural blue water is in the tropics. There is much less algae.
Sorry for correcting you, it's been bothering me.
EDIT: Example of what water would look like, if its color was dependant on the sky.
Is water really blue, or is it just dispersion of the light (just like the sky)? It doesn't really matter, but it's an interesting question, I think.
I think it would be right to say that the water color depends on multiple factors:
-Amount of algae (the more, the greener);
-Amount of silt (mostly in rivers. A lot of silt makes water look grey);
-Amount of micro-organisms (the more, the less clear the water is);
-Depth (Deeper = less clear, and darker);
-Bottom material (sand/rock/clay. Different materials make for different colours);
-Water colour (pure H2O, without any additions);
-Weather. The surface of the water reflects the sky partially.
-Possible other additions (Chlorine, as you mentioned)
Did you know our atmosphere doesn't have physical end(like a barrier) instead it just stretches out until it dissipates. But they agree around 10,000 km it's pretty much gone and at 650 km is more or less the end of it being an actual resistor.

A bad thing about the sky is the sun, a real ***** who shines right in your face when you are driving east (or even slightly east) in the morning, sometimes RIGHT NEXT TO THE STOPLIGHT!
Argh! I hate it when that happens!
Anyhow, sunsets in the Pacific Northwest are pretty much the best in the world.

This enlightening post brought to you courtesy of a serious overabundance of free time.
I often look up to the stars and just think. The universe is one of my favorite subjects. One of my favorite things to do while high is to look at the clouds, and picture images. It's amazing what you will see, countless shapes. But the stars truly make my jaw drop, just the idea of an ever expanding universe makes me shiver and have goosebumps everywhere. Anything is really possible, it might not be near you, not on earth, or even our solar system. But somewhere something is happening and it's probably amazing. I truly respect earth because of this. I realized that we are a small dot in something much bigger. It has taught me to think wider, it opens your eyes when you put thought into it.
It saddens me I'll never be able to explore infinity.

More like 2 months. But, it's 'alive' again, so let's stay on the topic of the sky.
