Moderation is 7 parts motivation, 1 part experience, and 2 parts intuition.
You can get experience. You can develop the intuition. However, you need the motivation from the start, or you'll end up like Yourself, and several other mods.
Age doesn't count. Time hardly counts. Experience don't count for ****.
Also, may I note that skill without cooperation doesn't count for anything.

Me? Bluh.. I can't vote anyone. As long as he/she is mature enough to take the responsibility as a Moderator, he/she is good enough to be a Moderator. I don't say I disagree with the vote system. It's just, well, somewhat not good enough.
I don't even count numbers of post on voting.
And, one more thing. I don't deserved to choose anyone as a Moderator. Cause I know what will happen when I did that wrong choice.
Moderation is 7 parts motivation, 1 part experience, and 2 parts intuition.
There's also 1 part luck. The chances of someone actually becoming moderator after applying is extremely slim. So I'd adjust it to 6 parts motivation, 1 part experience, 2 parts intuition, and 1 part luck.

@The Monkey, that's 11 parts. Reduce the motivation by one. :tongue.gif:
I think he should just remove the experience. If you need experience to sign up for a moderator job (implying this is a universal rule), how would you start?

Steam has finished downloading Morrowind.
Goodbye.

When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. I don't want your damn lemons! I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!
Probably not since he got a 14 day suspension recently.
Then again, he has experience and an awfully stiff mentality.
Though he hates, Ez and Citric with a passion.
TL;DR
No
I think the administration dislikes offtopic altogether.
Lets not drag this into a "attack the admins and mods" thread please.
And in the case of moderation, skill alone doesn't make it. A good friend-held team is needed.
Pity.
I said friendship because it combines all of those.
But yes, a brony would aid to that. -chuckles-
Mmm, indeed. Creating a bit of a bias. Plus the trolls would go crazy of something so mundane though.
Indeed. Ironically, Spiney seems to be part of that.
Neither. Though I do take on the persona of a character from a web-comic so I can't really say I'm not like them.

Really, we just need someone who would moderate without bias. And someone who's decently active and willing.
Moderating is srs bznz.

FFS, I am obviously wonderful.
You should know. You're the most nominated candidate in this thread so far...
Moderating on other forums.
Then, Travisk. -insert time slot here- Me. If I got a chance.
I remember no one with a letter H as first letter. OHWAI- I remember!
