Mine personally is the Scar-H. An all-around weapon. Very evened out and good for people who just join the army.
Army's not fielding the Scar-H. The mil has been dicking around with a bunch of new guns in general. I know a guy who's unit got a couple of SCAR-L's for testing and evaluation, but the military has no plans to adopt any of the new rifles that hit the market. SOCOM did put in an order for more SCAR-H's, but you aren't going to be seeing any grunts with them in the near future.
On the topic of favorite weapon, I can't pick just one. In the vein of favorite assault rifle though, I'd have to go with the AR platform. It does everything better than the newer rifles (SCAR, ACR, XCR, etc.), at a fraction of the cost.
I like to think that whenever you beat an AI in any videogame, it gets sent to whatever equivalent of Hell computers have. I can only presume that this would be Aperture Laboratories from Portal. May GLaDOS have mercy on them.
Gottta agree with Odie...ar 15 platform. Not much you can't do with it. No real replacement on the horizon (at least to replace ALL m-16's, maybe for selective use), and just a ton of fun to shoot.
Although in a close second would be either the Winchester model 12 or M1 carbine. The Winchester because it's the best shotgun ever made IMO, and the M1 carbine is sooo fun to shoot...love the sound of the bolt!
That sword is specifically designed for ninjas. In fact there is a ninja right there.
Or a bass cannon.
So, MASTER SWORD, BITCHES!

An edit a year later: It appears I was ten when I posted this.
Notaoneword post.
I've seen armor lock defeated by high-speed debris. So just maybe.

Good answer. That and the ppsh-41 were probably the two best sub-machine guns of world war 2.
No one survives the exterminatus. NO ONE.

Speaking of WWII weapons, I'm going to be getting one of these:
Just as soon as I clear the damn background check, that's the worst part.
