Whilst we are on the "steam" topic.
Can anyone help me with the latest update, which was today.
I get a "Download Starting..." and it won't download the new update, when I open TF2 (Yes, TF2) I get a "Preparing to launch Team Fortress 2..." and it doesn't launch.
Heeelp?
It's either TF2 is downloading a new update or the servers are down.

Right click Team Fortress 2 -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game cache and see if that helps
or you could try pausing the download then resuming - something was wrong when I was downloading a game the other day (Stuck on download starting) and somehow that helped.

Even though it says so on all the packages...
You were wrong, it says I can't.
I've bought packages before. You can.
If it doesn't let you, then that's one ****ed up package.
then WHY DID YOU ASK
Obviously he's the "Steam Questioner".
****, I like.... Must have totally missed that
I didn't know until I went to the check-out page. Apparently not all packages let you do that, only some of them.

... I can still tell you more about steam-powered locomotion, if you like.

I also do that when L4D2 isn't working
