I am quite calm about this. I really doubt it'll pass. Obama will just spew his regular freedom speech and send the bill into oblivion... However, if the bill were to pass...
Let's just say, you can force me to watch ponies on regular television...
but...
never...
ever... ever... ****! with my StarCraft!...
Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again because a vision softly creeping left its seeds while I was sleeping and the vision that was planted in my brain still remains within the sound of silence

I'm with ya there, bro. Nobody touches my Day[9] :[.
I'm sure Notch will let gameplay videos of Mojang's games. He is probably one of the nicest indie gamers anyone will ever meet. :3
Ahem. I don't think anyone read my post so I'll say this again. Here's a quote from notch's tumblr.
"I've received a few emails about Bill S.978, a new bill proposed in the USA, which would make it illegal under certain circumstances to share videos of copyrighted materials over the internet. The problem is that it appears to also make it illegal to upload videos of games, such as let’s plays and speed runs. And I love watching let’s plays and speed runs.
Here’s a great video on the subject I found via Reddit: -snip-
If the bill passes, I suspect many game companies (including us) will add a special clause to the TOS specifically to allow posting videos of their games. A huge part of why Minecraft has grown so fast is the YouTube community."
gotta suck for the bronies who can't get their daily fix of poni on TV and have to use youtube.... like me
also, what's gonna happen to YTPs? almost all of them contain movie, game, or TV content

None of what you mentioned falls under the scope of the changes made in this bill. It's already all illegal.
OH MY GOD. GUYS HAVE YOU LEARNED? THE FIRST AMENDMENT gives the press the right to publish news, information and opinions without government interference. This also means people have the right to publish their own newspapers, newsletters, magazines, etc.
Oh, that's weird, I'm confused as well.

edit: IF the bill passes and Obama makes the speach of freedom or something, than he will be my hero of all time.

Heck, I'd even kill entire families.
Sounds a bit to harsh.
Bill S.978 getting you down?
Upload your videos onto torrent sites.
They'll never check there!
Problem, government?
Except, unlike Troll Science comics, this could actually work.
Net_Bastard's Epic Low-res! As much awesomeness that you can cram into a 5x5 texture pack, and then some!

Obama can rub my channel all over his ass. (And then we have his DNA to disprove his BC to :biggrin.gif:)
My video production is in hyper-overdrive now BTW.

Don't expect this to pass. :wink.gif:
AND if it somehow does....
I'm prepared.
