So, wait? Your argument was that bad people would always have guns. And now you just said that bad people cant afford guns. Im confused.
They can't afford LEGAL guns. The United States isn't the UK, we aren't some really tiny island that you can easily restrict the imports and exports of.
Trying to accurately summarize the columbine shooting by watching that movie is a logical fallacy in itself. That movie was very inaccurate. I hate to break it to you, but Eric and Dillon broke so many laws in obtaining their guns that they'd still be in prison now if they were caught before the shooting. The biggest law they broke was the NFA, because they made illegal short barreled shotguns and illegal explosives. Just from that they would have gotten ten years each.
The guns they used weren't legal, they got them off the black market through a rather shady woman who got them through a Mexican drug cartel, or something along those lines.
Ok you haven't watched it I guess. I have no interest in where they got their guns, nor does the movie. The point is that peaceful societies do not need armed citizens.

Every society needs armed citizens. There are always those who go against the establishment. I'm not talking about rebellious teenagers, I'm talking about sociopaths and people who choose to be criminals.
Let me put it this way. I had a gang ready to curb stomp my short skinny white ass just because I, as they put it, was "on their block." The next day I walked by them while open carrying my pistol. They haven't said anything to me since then, and I still walk up "their block" multiple times a day. The only thing that kept them from beating me into a coma was my gun. An armed society is a polite society.
A society where everyone needs a gun is a society in need of renovations. Sounds like a band aid to me anyway. You know what would also work? Training in martial arts. You could defend yourself, and after you defended yourself, the other people would have bruises and maybe broken bones. They wouldnt be dead, though.

Which is why we need stricter gun laws. Just because we can't completely destroy this gigantic Black Market we have, doesn't mean we can't put restrictions on our legal Market problem. Why is it legal for anyone to buy a gun at a gunshow, without any license; all they need to say is that they simply live in said state? Why don't people have to go through strict training courses so that they are trained to properly handle and use their guns? Our "Black Market" isn't that different from our "Legal Market."
EDIT: You have also evaded my conclusion on why the "Revolution" argument is ********, and have instead moved along to "defending the common man." Nice.

People like the ones he mentioned don't deserve to live, let alone be given a second chance to attack him and others in the future.

And see, that's where some of you take your semi-reasonable approach and sprinkle in extreme, ridiculous reasoning. Saying you'd like the gun laws to stay the way they are, that's reasonable. Saying every common thug and criminal should be put to death, is ****ing ridiculous. You were talking about a tyrannical government early. You seem to have the most tyrant ideals here.

You have to have a license to own a handgun in the US, and most states require you to undergo training. Again, almost no crime is committed with legal guns. Do you really think the criminals really care if it is illegal to own a gun or not, of course not, they're criminals, it's just another law for them to break, they don't care about or respect the law.

We're not talking about "common thugs" we're talking about hardcore gang bangers who kill other humans for a living. He even said there was a group of them who attacked him.

1) Uh, no.
2) Uhh, also, no. Can I get some citation to back up your false statements?
3) And, once again, citation.

You don't have to shoot them lethally, shoot them in the leg, or better yet, just pull out your gun and they'll run off.
As for the guy who keeps suggesting tasers. Tasers are extremely unreliable, clunky, and not nearly as effective as a gun. Plus if you miss with a taser, you're ****ed, because you only have one shot. They could also still attack you if you tase them. Sure, they could keep trucking with a bullet in them too, but it's a lot less likely.

That's not true. Any licensed gun dealer at a gunshow has to operate just as they do at the shop. I.E. two forms of I.D. and a background check are required. Private sellers don't have to do background checks because it's a sale between two private parties. It's no different than selling a T.V. to another person. Private sellers can not sell guns with the intention of "being in the gun business". They may only sell their own private guns to either liquidate or use the money to further their collection. Selling guns without a license with the intent to do so as a business will result in the ATF raping you and throwing you in the slammer. Trust me, they do enforce this too. There are usually a few ATF agents at every gun show to make sure no laws are being broken.

They are common thugs. They just wanted to kick some dudes ass. I'm glad his gun protected him. I also know that Odie knows proper gun safety and I'm sure has a permit to carry his firearm on him. There are plenty of people that have killed another man, and have reformed and benefited society.

You too.

That movie is ****. Literal ****. Go google it. Michael Moore spun the truth and outright lied so many times in that movie that it's ridiculous.
I think it was meant to be a comedy.
Go to Somalia, there is no government, everyone can get along in perfect harmony if they wanted to, but guess what, THEY DON'T.
Now go to North Korea, where the left-wing dictator who banned guns has total control over everything, there's your "perfect society"
