I haven't seen a thread like this that's been active lately, so I decided to make one. Basically you ask a serious question (i.e. What do you think about Notch?) and it will be answered by someone else or me.
Rules (other than common sense stuff):
1. Like the thread description suggests, trolling of any kind will not be tolerated. I will report it on the spot.
2. Try not to ask the same question over and over. If neccessary, I'll make an FAQ edit for this post.
Ask away! I'll give advice on anything you can think of.
Well, in my experience, rules work in a few ways. One is to set boundaries on the very things that people do. They also send out a challenge to anyone who disagrees with them, which can have negative effects. In this particular case, they are attempting to ensure that I'm not faced with some question that I don't want to answer or is pointless.

So much for keeping things PG-13.
OK, how does the outside of a record on a record player take the same amount of time to go around once as the inside even though they're both traveling the same speed?
Ninjad I'm such a slow typer!

It probably has something to do with the fact that the outside edges and inside of a record are part of one piece. Basically, they're travelling at the same rate because they're part of the same piece that's spinning.
I'm not an expert in records, so if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. (I'm just a human being...)
EDIT: This question doesn't make total sense to me for some reason (wording's kinda iffy, and in a way it answers itself), and now I feel stupid. :dry.gif:
If the absolute value of +x = -1, and the absolute value of +y = x, what is the absolute value of -ix*y?
Also, if the absolute value of +z = i, and the absolute value of +w = -i, what is z*w?
Using all this, what are the four square roots of x? What are the absolute values of the four square roots of y?
Also, for a bonus, what is 4^x? ( Bonus because I have no clue for that one ) ( all these letters are constants if you did'nt get that ) Also, what is the absolute value of x/2y

^Moby **** nailed it. (Don't say it... :dry.gif: )
Anyway, I kinda feel like Dr. Phil today, so ask questions about your life that you want advice about. Basically if you don't want to post a HALP thread, post it here instead.
My question is serious though... Using the communicativeness of absolute value, you can solve them all! ( I came up with this strange math, it is very complicated and weird ) |-ix*y| = Using the communicativeness of absolute value it equals
|-i|*|x|*|y|= 1*-1*x= -x |z*w| = |z| * |w| = i*-i = 1, since z and w have positive arguments and their absolute value is 1, z*w = 1
+z is a square root of x, because, |z*z| = |z| * |z| = i*i=-1 z has a positive argument, so a a number with a absolute value of -1 and being positive is x. Using the same methods, -z, +w, and -w are all square roots of x. I don't know how exponents work,yet, but x/2y = x * 1/y * 1/2. take 1/y, multiply both sides by y, you get y over 1 ( y^2 = 1 because |y*y|
= |y| * |y| = -x * -x = x^2 = ... long story, but y^2 is 1.) so it equals 1/2*x*y, .5*x*y= -x*.5= -.5x
So my question was serious :smile.gif:
I came up with this system myself it has non-zero numbers having absolute values of 0, non-zero numbers multiplying to 0, often impossible division, its super confusing. I use symbols not letters for the numbers. I recently proved |x+y|=0
It is complicated, as no coordinate system expresses it, its tough, yet fun for me, to work with. I came up with it in language arts (English) class. I'm 13 years old, so I'm proud of it!
Now, another question(its easy) what is the cube-root of x? y? Bonus: What is are the (eight I think)fourth roots of x? y?
Luck to you!

Rules (other than common sense stuff):
1. NO RELIGION QUESTIONS! EVAR! :angry.gif: There's a thread made for religion in general.
2. Try to keep it SFW. I don't want to answer something that's not PG-13 (if that)...
3. Like the thread description suggests, trolling of any kind will not be tolerated. I will report it on the spot.
4. Try not to ask the same question over and over. If neccessary, I'll make an FAQ edit for this post.
5. Don't rush the OP. I have a random schedule so if I suddenly disappear, don't fill up my inbox with hate mail. Someone else might be willing to answer your question.
6. Keep links, pics, and videos to a minimum. If they need to be used to help with understanding the question, it's fine. If you quote a post with pics inside of it, PLEASE -snip- them out.
BTW this is my first serious OT thread on ANY forum. Of the few forums I've been on, none of them have had a friendly OT section as this one. Please try to keep it that way. I just want to feel included. :smile.gif:
I'll amend the rules if needed. Any mods/admins that want to edit this post or do anything to fix this thread, feel free to. Otherwise, ask away! :biggrin.gif:
so how is it that you answer all our questions? your not god nor are you chuck norris

THAT'S WHAT
Serious question though:
Five divided by zero equals what?
You can't divide by zero. A number can't be divided by nothing. (lawl double negative)
Ex. 5/1 = 5, because 1 goes into 5 5 times.
5/0 = undefined, because 0 can't go into 5 because 0 is a representation of nothing.
Basically 0 can't be used to divide anything because nothing can't go into something or divide something. (you can't divide a number into zero parts)
Like I said before, if anything's not worded right, just tell me. If you want to add on to the answer of a question, feel free to.

Well, I think of an answer that seems correct for the question and post it here for all to see. And I'm well aware that I'm neither of those beings...
They do, but they're annoying. I used to have one and he stole all the silverware and hid it behind the couch.
That's funny, I want to get one but they're illegal in California :sad.gif:
