It's scientifically proven that the more you think you know, the less you know. So if you brag about being super smart, you're probably quite dumb.
I see myself as very average. I'm smarter than my peers, but I'm not gifted or anything like that.
As a corollary, It's super funny when really dumb people jump on every little mistake that smarter people make. Like "OMG you lost your grip on that bag and dropped it, I must be much smarter than you because I never make silly mistakes like that, lololol!! SCHOOL OF STREET SMARTS FTW HSUAHSUAHSUAHSUA"
"All who brag about their IQ are losers" ~Stephen Hawking.
Hey, Stephen Hawking, aren't you the guy who discovered gravity?
Also, if anyone gets that reference, it should give you a fairly good idea of where I am on the poll...Lol (...not quite sure how to fix this bit)
I'd guess that you put yourself as brilliant, when you appear to be in actuality average (or below) or lazy about learning the rules of English. Either way, I don't think you're as smart as you think you are.
In other news, this data conclusively shows that internet polls are entirely accurate and can always be trusted. Clearly, 1/3 of people on the internet are misunderstood prodigies.

Actually, I noticed "brilliant" drop earlier from 33% to 31%, and now it's at 29%. Either a reverse-Flynn effect is occurring on a massive scale on the users of General Off Topic or people are better learning how to measure their own intelligence.
I've been called a genius since birth and I've done nothing with it - At least nothing incredible.
Intelligence isn't some kind of defined value - It's what you make it. I don't consider myself intelligent because I've ****ed away a lot of time dealing with my emotional baggage (baggage that stopped me dead in my tracks).
I consider someone who studied hard because they weren't that 'smart' - and scraped an A- on their finals - more intelligent than someone like myself who's consider a 'genius' and assed their way to passing.
I didn't know I created a second account and posted my life story without knowing it... D:
I'm not voting because the results are ****ing stupid.Everyone decided to vote "Very" and "Brilliant" because they're self-important titbags. That, or this place is Mensa in disguise.
Not really everyone. There are plenty of coders on this forum, which are usually pretty smart. And would you rather have someone express and make use of their intelligence, or simply lie to you?
Nonetheless, I'd be willing to bet that most of those high voters are a bit loony.

Being good at grammar is no measure of intelligence...

It's like a circle-jerk of family values, Christianity and nationalism.
I was torn between moderately and very, but considering how many idiots there are that can't even use basic grammar rules (not a personal attack, or meant for those who choose not to), very seemed like a better option.
EDIT: Shoot, I just realized the poll isn't on a "bad, sort of bad, moderate, good, very good" scale. Yeah, I'm probably more like "a little" or "some."
Being good at grammar is no measure of intelligence...
I know it isn't, but when somebody is smugly bragging about their obscure knowledge and trying to subtly state just how brilliant they are, being bad at grammar does *not* help their case.

Frankly, I think the first is more likely.
Though, in learning how to better measure their intelligence and placing themselves lower on the poll.....
Don't they become more intelligent????
Paradox??

That's actually true. I guess I just get prickly at any mention of grammar... sorry!

If you don't judge yourself, someone will do it for you.
I'd rather have someone else judge me, instead of doing it myself.
It's a choice between you treating people badly, and people treating you badly. Would you rather take the path less traveled, or would you take the frequently trodden one? Morals or objects, which can you live without?

Even though I would sometimes want to treat people badly, so they don't treat me badly, I just can't. I really hate treating people badly. Even if they have insulted me. Then I sometimes think horrible things of them, but I will always treat them as normal people. And I think it works, because I am never bullied, and I have some very good friends.
*ahem*
I voted to show that I'm moderat..

I'm moderately intelligent. I have pretty good common sense. And I'm not a redneck.
If you don't judge yourself, someone will do it for you.
A more compelling case for Dunning-Kruger I have not seen.

Like anime? Try Visual Novels.
Strangely enough, I've already read the wiki page on that. Have you mentioned it before on here or something?
You heard that, green and red.

I put myself as moderately. I would have put lower but people say i'm smarter than average.
