The whole Foundation and Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series'. They are the best books I've ever read. Oh, and God Delusion of course.
I was about to 'inb4' TGD. Yeah, everyone needs to read a book about militiant athiesm. Or militiant theism, at that.
1. The Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger is a good book.
2. Harry Potter - If you haven't read these, you have no soul.
3. Forrest Gump - You could watch the movie as well, so TL;DR, it's about a man who sees through the world in a simple mind, not caring much about anything, as he's a little bit special.
4. Animal Farm - Great book about the dangers of communism. Communism is a good thing, but the way people abuse it isn't.
5. The Zombie Survival Guide - Essential survival guide to the survivor of Armageddon.

A few of the most memorable books I've read are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and Flowers for Algernon. All fantastic books.
EDIT: Oh yes, Fahrenheit 451 definitely.
EDIT 2: Don Quixote too.
