Immortality would be hell. Heaven/hell would be hell. Might be fun for the first million years, but the next billion? the next trillion? Total agony
But if you think about it, angels, if they exist, are supposed to do anything for you. It could be whatever life you want. Of course you'd get bored of it but the possibilities would be endless.
Personally, I'm ambivalent about Heaven OR hell, but it could be quite possible that there is an afterlife. Only the dead know, and the people who think they know **** me off.

I guess if you constantly erased your memory it would be OK, but if they didn't then there is only a finite amount of things possible to do
You could go back to your original life and start over with the angel at your side, and do whatever you want in your original life-- but that would be degrading.
If the definition was: "To be in the same state of living forever" , then your body would not be able to send signals to other parts of your body (because they are in said constant state), and you would not be able to move.
If the definition was: "To be in a fixed range but changing states considered living", then we have a pretty big and complex topic to talk about.
There is an infinite amount of things you can do in life. If you get bored from immortality, you're not creative enough :3

Do not wallow do not stall
Time waits for none at all
Your allowance may crawl,
It may fly or even vanish
But none will seem more lavished
Than time lost to all.
For eternal life to be possible, your mind would have to not be a physical object, meaning that if i cut your brain off you can still think.
But as we all know thats not how mind works (it cant work like that), thus heaven and hell are not possible.
Wow, it only took us over 2000 years, but you just cleared all religious debate between every religion and proved them wrong. Clearly, there's nothing more to it than that, and you are not only awesome, but justified for talking about the validity of religious beliefs in a thread about Immortality (Ie; Not religion). [/sarcasm]
If immortality was possible without your mind being destroyed then I would love to be immortal. Then again if someone tries to torture you until you die immortality would suck.

I'm not too sure if I'm a lurker or someone who posts often enough to be seen as an Otter.
I would hate immortality. I'd get pretty bored by the time the universe expanded into a frozen wasteland.
I am partial to the idea of selective death, which just means that I would live as long as I so desire, only to perish when I decide it is the right time.
If you have any sort of imagination you would realize that immortality would be great.
Once humans die out (give them about 100-200 years) you can just research physics and whatnot. Make a spaceship and go try to find aliens or something.
Once you go out and explore the universe, I guess you could try to discover alternate universes. I realize this sort of tech would take about 5000ish years to master with one human, but hey. You got time.
Now go find the universe where all other humans are immortal. Troll science, in action.

But... Sod's Law dictates that eventually you will hate it! And Sod's Law becomes really important when dealing with large numbers, and infinity/immortality is forever.

STOP TAKING THINGS SO LITERALLY.
But, I don't have anything in my hands! How could I have taken anything?!
People gain immortality by being remembered throughout history. Sounds corny but thats how we've been doing it. Sometimes being remembered just by people you care about is more than enough.
Literal immortality, like living for a long time? It might be possible, just not right now. If it does come, I'm sure a lot of social problems would arise, because obviously not everybody could get it. I leave that sort of discussion for someone else though, I'd rather wait and see.

Elaborate.
You heard that, green and red.

But if you're immortal, you'd eventually run out. The things we can do without a huge, horrible consequence are a very small amount.
Listen, I'm very creative but honestly, would I want to be punished indefinitely for 1 million bucks? Nah.

If an angel could do anything, they could grant you education and memorization.
