Apparently, breathing in air from a air horn was bad and almost killed me (I had every symptom of a heart attack surprised I didn't get one.) so I don't even want to see what Salvia would do to me.
Who is talking about salvia? This thread is about marijuana. They are two different plants.
Also air horn air is in no way related to the smoke from either. There were probably chemicals in it, or you just forced air into your lungs.
I thought Salvia was a nickname for it?

No, salvia is an hallucinogenic drug. Marijuana is a depressant (well OK, its mildly hallucinogenic too).
I don't care if others do, but I prefer having a clear head (easier to make stoned/drunk people do funny stuff)
I like to remember what I do. (or what others do so I can post it on youtube)
(I support legalization, I just don't want to smoke it)

No I don't, and I don't want to.
I had asthma when I was young and I wouldn't want to choke on stuff I'm breathing in on purpose; besides, I already have an addiction on video games, and that already takes most of my money.
I'm also pretty sure its not good for you. Think, your lungs are meant to take in air, and filter out the oxygen. To do this, it uses very delicate membranes that must be coated with a layer of mucus that must be kept clean and fresh to work properly. Now lets deliberately breath in some air that is low in oxygen, high in carbon dust, and some other things. How could that possibly end well?

in many areas (L.A, N.Y, Beijing) the air is so polluted, its like 2ndhand smoke 24/7) lungs are tough, otherwise all of us would be dead already (lungs can repair themselves from minor smoke) (a lifetime of it is bad, but in moderation it is not at all a problem)

Yes, smoke of any form is harsh on your lungs, anyone who denies this is an idiot. But you can't get lung cancer from marijuana.
Or any cancer. Marijuana kills cancer. So by smoking it you're actually ironically reducing your chances of [lung] cancer.
Uh, no, it doesn't. If it did, cancer wouldn't be a problem anymore. Cancer patients are allowed to smoke weed because in addition to being a depressant/mild hallucinogen, it is also very good at settling one's stomach. Chemotherapy makes you so sick to your stomach, many of the patients wouldn't even be able to eat if not for weed.
Taking anything that alters the normal body chemical balance (other than to correct a genetic imbalance) is unsafe. That said, there is no definitive proof that weed is truly harmful to you. It might increase risk of lung cancer if you smoke/inhale it - by what factor I don't know. Generally accepted that vaporisation is better than smoking it.
I don't do drugs myself, but I have nothing against others using weed. I resent hard drugs like meth, coke, heroin. I'm split on things like Ketamine (which is actually tranquilliser iirc) due to the lack of information about it. Also poppers, which are legal atm, I still don't think it's a good idea to inhale their vapours since it IS a corrosive liquid, **** will kill you if you drink it and burn your skin and blind you if you get it on yourself, so the vapours must do at least mild damage to your lungs when inhaled. I was told the effect of it is to expand your arteries or something - but I don't know the truth I didn't look it up.

So, you're saying that because cities are polluted and people survive in them, the lungs must be able to compensate and if it really was harmful they'd all just die?
That's ridiculous. Life expectancy IS lowered by the pollution. The lungs don't just magically compensate, and if they didn't that doesn't mean people would be dropping dead in the streets, since that isn't happening.
Now, as for moderation, yes, you're right. Even polluted air cannot harm you much if you don't take in very much. The question would be, of course, can moderate marijuana use damage the lungs?

Actually, it does kill cancer - albeit indirectly. Studies have shown that it usually kills off your cells before they get too old and start mutating into cancerous cells. As a result, your chances to develop cancer go waaaaaaay down. Note that this is a preventative measure only - if you already have cancer, it won't do ****.

No, I do not want to get arrested for being stoned, and I most certainly do not want over 400 chemicals including delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol go into my body. Kids, don't do drugs.

You will only get arrested for being stoned in a public place and will only get arrested for possession over a certain amount( I forget how much). It's actually a lot cleaner for your body then the majority of drugs out there, but I'll admit it isn't a very valid reference. If you take it only for special occasions or rarely, it's fine. It's only wrong when you smoke it regularly n-n

Or a chemical that a dealer slips into some drugs and you almost die.
My girlfriends brother had this before, yet he still does it, he's such a ****. He almost died, seriously.
Wanna hear the best bit?
He said that he was glad she was there, because... here we go... His friends wouldn't help they'd just laugh at him
Some friends huh

A good friend of mine on Steam, who I have been talking to on Teamspeak for a few months now, has been smoking it from a pipe a few times a week. He is one of the most laid back, intelligent guys I know.

Not a single person I know is distinguishable from a "clean" person.
Seriously, it isn't that bad. I'd almost go so far as to say it's good, providing a form of release from the stresses of everyday life for them all.
