Lavender town syndrome (LTS) is a syndrome which occurs to children in the ages of 10 to 15. I'm not posting the actual song because im scared half to death by it. Apparently children from ages 10-15 have been reported as :
京极 勝女; April 12 1996 (11). Obstructive sleep apnea, severe migraines, otorrhagia, tinnitus.
千葉 広幸: May 23 1996 (12). General irritability, insomnia, addiction to videogame, nosebleeds. Developed into violent streaks against others and eventually himself. [自殺]
桃井 久江: April 27 1996 (11). Cluster headaches, irritability. Eventually took mixed painkillers. [自殺]
吉長 為真: March 4 1996 (7). Migraines, sluggish and slow behaviour, unresponsiveness. Developed into deafness, and went missing. Body discovered beside road April 20 1996. [死出]
Yeah, it's all bull. Sure the Lavendar Town theme is creepy, but any harmful high pitches were removed long ago; you can read about it on wikipedia. Any supposed reactions nowadays are just a result of the placebo effect.

I love that song. It's oddly relaxing.
I listen to it all the time, especially when I'm going to sleep.
Nothing's wrong with me because of it. It was all the other stuff that warped my mind.
Some people will believe anything. I remember the original Pokemon Red and Blue, I owned Red and some of my friends owned Blue, we all played the hell out of it, traded/battled our Pokemon, and had a great time. I remember Lavender Town as well, and if I'm not mistaken, it was a fairly large area so I would have spent a good deal of time there. I don't think the Gameboy is capable of making kids go crazy, except maybe obsessive kids whose parents don't govern their time well.
I think it's pretty telling that the OP in the post you linked wouldn't post the song because "it scared the hell out of me." That's code for it doesn't exist. Also, an actual news article talking about kids going crazy for this exact reason would help the believability.
Come with me.
I forgot, did those two stories tie into eachother?
That's Creepy Black, right?
I can't remember the name. It was the on where Oak tells the player to follow him into the bushes, then torments them with pictures of their dead (IRL) family, followed by their suicide. I can't remember much, actualy.
If true, would be creepily awesome... except for the deaths. I think music definitely has an impact on your mind... as to say that a certain town's theme song in Pokemon is the cause of multiple deaths is beyond me.
Discuss. There are a few videos in that thread.

You know, I think I saw a cart like that a while ago at a garage sale. It was all beat to hell though.
