I'm waiting for the day they make more Mushishi episodes... other than that, I'm just waiting for something fun to watch, something in the line of Mushishi or... way over the top like Gurren Lagann. Hahaha...
I used to read the manga 'Black Cat' and a bit of 'to-LOVE Ru' on OneManga.com, and then the owners of the site said "t(._.t)" and gave up and erased all of their good series. :sad.gif:

Its like going to a police station telling them how you stole a purse and demonstrating it, while arguing the benefits of it. You'd still go to jail because you're an idiot.
My fave animes are Bleach and Naruto ...I've watched a few other such as One Piece but never really got into them. Cool thing though is my mom might take me to Bakuretsu Con. Its this October in Colchester, VT...like 2 hours away from where I live. It happens like a week or two before my b-day so i roped her into it with the "early b-day gift" scheme :tongue.gif:

First Minecraft death was drowning in a frozen lake...Stupid lake -.- Second Minecraft death fell through hole in the Bedrock...seriously wtf is a blue hole doing in the damn floor? >.<
I tend to avoid the mainstream anime. This is mostly because a lot of it is stuffed full of filler, and the stories are pretty much designed to never go anywhere. I like my stories with both beginnings and ends, preferably with some character development in the middle.
My most recently-watched anime was Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, which was better than Index. I do wish the series was less episodic than it is, but oh well.
My favorite anime is Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. I enjoy a good mind****, but never has an anime gotten quite the same reaction out of me. I shat bricks. 'nuff said. Also fingernails.
The art in the first season is... unfortunate, to say the least, but it doesn't take away from the series too much. It's definitely one to watch for the story rather than the art.
The second season tends more towards suspense/thriller, but it's really good suspense.
How about the second-to-last arc?

Takano's got a gun.
I'm also in love with FLCL, almost because of just how significant it is. A lot of people, the younger crowd especially, probably don't realize how it changed everything. Its six episodes took as much time and money to create as a full 24-episode series. People had to wait months between episodes to see what would happen next.
The artistic detail is incredible, unlike anything seen before it. The way the music integrates into the series is unmatched to this day. The story and characters are some of the deepest and most dynamic portrayed in anime. It is a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and it raised the bar on what was expected from anime.
It's also notable in that it's one of the only anime for which the original director oversaw the English translation and dubbing, which is why they're so good.

Higurashi also happens to be my favorite anime :biggrin.gif: It's suspenseful, complex, and the plot develops well. I also love the characters (Rika's probably my favorite out of the bunch).
The anime and manga discussion thread. Discuss and share your favorite anime/manga series and stuff. And the love. Can't forget the love.
Spoilers are okay as long as you enclose them in spoiler tags.

I am currently reading
The Breaker
Code Geass: Renya of Darkness
Defense Devil
Air Gear
I finished and enjoyed Full Metal Alchemist.
I don't usually watch anime. Too time consuming in my opinion. I did watch The Tower of Druaga though, and Code Geass R1+R2. Both were pretty cool.
I do need something new to read though. Any suggestions? As you can see, I'm the action fantasy type guy. Although trying something new might be cool.
I can't imagine watching it in episode form, though, waiting a whole week or more for the next episode... I'd forget the story! D:
dohohoho
See? I'm not so malicious...
Definitely watch it even if only after reading. 's good. Especially the opening theme of the first season.
Matter of fact here's the opening (1080p if you watch on-site)
Not because I have morals or whatever, but because I'm too lazy to use them.
dohohoho.
