So I'm going to be getting an Alienware m11x for school next year but I'm on a bit of a budget. I'm going to stick with a stock processor but I'm stuck on RAM. Since I'm going into school for game production, so should I get 2GB or 4GB? It's DDR3 RAM but I'd like to save the $100 if the jump in performance isn't significant.

Any help would be great!
Easy, don't buy an alienware (they're actually dells). They're enormously overpriced and you're better off building your own pc of have a shop do it for you.
Quatroking? I've heard they're costly because they're durable and pack a lot of punch for their small frame. Also, we're not talking about a desktop here, laptops are much less practical to custom-build.
As a matter of fact, I was actually looking into buying the same laptop relatively soon.

Durable? These things are made of thin plastic. Trust me, you're better off buying an other brand. I recommend acer, I've had two lappies from them and they work flawless.
