I don't log the linking of an account, simply because I don't like storing information I don't need and I never thought someone could come to a conclusion you did. ;-)
Given the nature of your service, I'm pretty sure you did. A fellow programmer can't be that ingenuous. If anyone signs up to a service like yours without ever considering the possibility of scam, he must be a complete dumbass.
Don't take this personally, but I don't trust people, and as much I'm aware of the gigantic asshole I am, I also know that asking isn't a reliable way of getting the truth from people. I rather share my opinion instead of passing along a potential lie.
On the bright, human side, you took your time to defend your service. That's potentially good, but in my opinion, none of what you say proves anything.
Still, you're involved in a service that no one with a brain should trust at a first glance, and good will alone won't change that. One important thing you could - and you must, again in my point of view - do to reduce your software's suspiciousness is sharing it's source code. I'm not trusting your numbers and sarcastic smiley faces.
I've been working exclusively with free software (except for a few server-side services with no local client) for a year now, and even though it's a rough path, it is much more rewarding than relying in closed source as a form of protection.
Indeed, I don't have evidence, and I've been saying that since my first post. If you couldn't tell, his implies that I might be wrong. I'm not the official carrier of the truth. Neither are you. Neither are people that watched Zeitgeist and go tell everyone about it. Not even is the mass that follow the same pattern - you can have a billion of stupid airheads using a product just because it seems to be good., not because of the real nature of it.
I'm a ****. I don't like or trust anybody. And isn't the world better that way, when there _are_ people who disagree? You see, it's none of my business if there are people who swallow every **** they read without ever considering if it's true or not, so don't blame me if you think everyone will trust every piece of software just because there are a bunch of people who use it.
Take it easy. If only my opinion matters that much and you're all okay, I'm the one who'll be seen as the ****, troll, or whatever these kids call it, and not you. And I've already warned you that I'm a ****.
Also, I would indeed be pissed if those 60000 keys were erased from all my code. That would seriously suck, but that's not the case. Thank god it's just a counter.
If you're looking for a ~500x500 whatpulse icon, you can use mine. I don't use whatpulse, but if I did, I would join this team. I made it a long time ago, but yeah. If you guys want me to make an icon with a minecrafty flair to it, in this style or otherwise, let me know and it'll go on my todo list.

ps: Thanks for the help with my DVORAK training.
Why are you getting all worked up over a program that counts keys?
If you are paranoid about it, uninstall it. Nobody is forcing you to use it.
