Is gaming really that bad for you? How do you know if you're truly addicted?
I'm a gamer, and a researcher, looking for evidence of the differences between gaming addicts and enthusiasts amongst gamers aged 18+.
Recently, in the last 2 years, the World Health Organization's acknowledged the existence of Internet Gaming Disorder. Although they have produced some guidelines to tell you if you're addicted to gaming, these measures, have difficulty telling a gaming addict, from a gaming enthusiast.
So to better understand why these measures are failing, I have come up with a survey, it is 20 minutes long, and is only for 18+ gamers. It is meant to help clarify the differences between someone who has real problems from gaming, and those that are truly just gaming for fun.
Note: Although this relates to online gaming, offline gaming is fine as well, for this is still in its infancy.

Addiction and enthusiasm have already been distinguished. An addiction becomes noticeable when one neglects other self-evident things and prefers to play
Typical "symptoms" are:
positive effects on mood up to euphoria when exercising gaming
feeling, thinking and acting referring to gaming have a dominating and important place in the life
withdrawal symptoms
conflicts in the family, with friends, at work or at school
withdrawal from other areas of life
I don't thing these measures are failing - you can compare it to gambling, alcohol addiction or even porn addiction.
The basis is the same
I think it depends on how much it affects our daily life. If a person continues the gaming avoiding his daily life activities, life goals, duties & responsibilities, and relationship/friendship, it symbolizes his addiction
In a nutshell, the fundamental difference between excessive enthusiasm and addiction is that healthy enthusiasms add to life whereas addiction takes away from it.
Is it possible to make money on the Internet. This question has always interested me. I didn't even know how and where to make money. But there was a desire to earn something. Eventually I started looking for information. How to make money online. I didn't think there was so much information about making money on the Internet. I learned that there are many ways to make money. 3D modeling, design, video editing, photo editing, copywriting, there are various seo sites, betting companies and casinos. Since I had no experience in design, 3D modeling, video editing and photo editing, these options disappeared by themselves. Copywriting doesn't work either, because I don't write so loudly. So I had to choose one of three SEOs, bookmakers or casinos. At first I wanted to make money on SEO tasks. Yes, you can make money on it, but no more than a couple of bucks a day. I knew for sure that bookmakers and casinos very often do not pay their clients. For various pretexts. Then I looked for a casino by fairness rating. To know in advance when I won, I could withdraw my money from the system. I looked at a lot of sites and reviews. I decided to play at the casino https://www.duxcasino.com/. I liked the feedback from the guys who played at this casino and won. What I'm going to tell you now seems like real madness. I entered 100 bucks into the system. For a start, I didn't manage to win. I lost 80 bucks. I was not surprised, I knew what I was going for. I was ready to lose all the money, and I bet everything. It was at this moment that I started to win, to win big. For one slot, I multiplied my bet 34 times, that's 680 bucks. I was shocked. 680 dollars is a very good amount for a couple of hours. My emotions were off scale. I expected to win something, but I thought it would be 100 bucks maximum. And here I won 580 bucks. I withdrawn money very quickly. The withdrawal went without any problems. They translated everything in dollars, and not some candy wrappers, as I read. It was all insanely cool.

The difference between an enthusiast and an addict is their income.

I used to be a minecraft freak, now I play other realms.
The Survery is quite anoying as questions getting repeating in one way ot another
Like they're corss checking multiple times
But the topic itself is quite fun when i was younger (13-14) i played a lot more, even priorized it more than homework and sometimes friends
then i got into lifting (started when i was 14) and the more results i saw the more energy i spent into that and gaming got like 2nd priority
what's quite strange is that i share the same addition (or today even more) for my body than gaming - but i don't neglect friends or school sine..

..
If you are spending on gaming less than 6 hours a day and you also go outside daily you should be fine
I also became a game addict not long ago
