Hmm, I've been studying for biotech and I was thinking about Asimov's Foundation series. One wonders, "How does a government keep track of those trillions upon trillions of people?" (it's specified that a special type of social science done in the book requires multiple trillions to do calculations). In biotech we've been working with STR's (short tandem repeats) which are these repeats in the large sections of DNA that doesn't code for anything. They have specific frequencies in a population (1/2000 people, for example), but when multiple locations of STR's are used the frequency becomes much larger. For 13 locations the frequency can be in the trillions. There are hundreds of locations so the possible highest frequency would be an unimaginably high number, and thus you could have a specific way of personal identification for every person in your galaxy spanning empire. Take a piece of hair, plug it in to your high tech pocket identifier (beep boop, running analysis for 16 loci) and boom you have your man.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king
I forget snow isn't common for a lot of places - I'm in Buffalo so we're just used to a foot of snow at any given time. We're basically Canada.
I find it amazing that the majority of the population has never seen snow. Up here in NE snow is taken for granted, it's the times we don't get snow that are extraordinary.
RIP
To not know the spontaneous joy of a snowday is something which I wish never to know. Honestly, last winter we had probably 6 weeks in which we had a snowday on Monday in a row. It was amazing.

What's great is that Stefan Karl has done it live.
He's a treasure to all of humanity.

We will never meet
Christmas meetup in the scary alley, spook o clock on spookday
Accordion bus out on a snow day. That's a recipe for a fatal traffic accident.

And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.
I have a new favorite song
.............mcf isnt gone???????????????
