You could just ignore this place if you dislike it so much, you know.
But then where would we get cynical and sometimes depressing quips/memes?
I dunno if it's just that 'the past is always better when you look back at it' thing or if it's really occurring, but I feel that this place (the OT) is much more, shall we say, worse than when I first joined.

Oh yes I love quips.

dextrous i can literally google anyone's name and find their twitter account in two seconds (assuming their real name is attached to their twitter, as was the case with Kyte) and then get all the pictures that are on his twitter by right clicking and copy-pasting.
if having basic internet capabilities is somehow psycho to you then you really are as sad as I thought you were.
The fourth Underworld movie was pretty disappointing. Maybe I should have been less sober watching. Anyways watching Kate Beckinsale for two hours is never a bad use of time. *bites fist*

I've been reading about ancient Rome and so far I've discovered two interesting origins of English words. The word Palace comes from the Palatine Hill and then the word rostrum comes from the Latin word for 'ram (the war type),' and is so because during the 5th century BCE there was a platform for speaking in the Forum that was made of rams taken from the Latins during the Latin Wars.
Makes me wonder about other nonsensical and interesting origins of words.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king

Well you'd have to look into French and Saxon German, since the most direct roots of modern English is derived through those (by the Normans and the Saxons who preceded the Normans). Most of the Latin you might get going into Latin will likely by through Norman French or left overs from when Britain was a Roman province and the Roman hangers-on when the Saxons invaded.
You then have a hodge-podge of words the English language collected when it turned into a global empire. Cannibalism I think was introduced to the English language when contacts were made with the Caribbean. The word "shaman" as well is derived from central Asian or Siberian "saman". To the word Shaman's credit too, it's believed "shaman" may be the only contribution to modern English by the Manchurian language.
tfw HoI East vs West will never exist.

Ah, I forgot HoI. Why not play both III and IV?

Because they're both the same era.

Yes, but as I have both why not play every game I have in chronological order. For story purposes we could imagine that HOI 4 was WWIII.

Dang we all old
And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.

Was feeling nostalgic, really.
It's only worse because the original doggos that made it great aren't here anymore.
Really it started going downhill once Caboose was banned.
Old member from 2013 was a real funny dude but got banned for cursing or something. Can't remember that part, actually.

I can do that for about 90% of my family.
