It's an artistic representation of the so called Catiline plot with the blues being the nationalists (or Kuomintang, if you prefer) and then the reds representing those who supported democracy in the Russian Civil War. Others sometime say that it may also represent the quest for the Philippine's independence, while still others insist it shows the struggle of the people of Malawi as the were those who fought for their freedom in the War of 1812.
I personally feel that it's meant to show how wild anachronisms can sometimes be interpreted in an artistic and meaningful way.

The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king

I prefer to look at it from the angle of the struggle against the evils of fascism. By being red I actively choose to defend the freedoms of man, and put myself in the position to obligate myself the smashing of the fascists against the concrete pavement of human rights and dignity.

In other news I got my new graphics card in, that was fast. Now I just need my PSU, which was already shipped.
TF2 has progressed from being Valve's game with the least story to having one of Valve's best stories.
So, changing the subject, what do you guys think of No Man's Sky's foundation update? I think the game still sucks and isn't worth what they're charging for, but it's nice to see that they are actually working on it and all in all it's a step in the right direction.

Instead of getting NMS, why not just get four Paradox games in a bundle?

That's why I wait until I'm entirely sure a game's good (or it's really cheap). Stellaris was a game I wanted, but I wanted for a little while after it came out and I did a little research to make sure it was my kind of game. Civ VI is another one, I'm waiting to see what it's actually like (and I also don't want to have to buy 20 $10 DLCs) before I buy it.
It may seem tedious but every game that I've gotten I've enjoyed greatly and have gotten more than my money's worth out of.

I've gotten seriously addicted to RE Operation Raccoon City for some reason. I dunno if scoring it on the PS3 for $6 helped. But yeah, since the GC I've bargain bought 90% of my games and enjoyed the hell out of them. First party Wii U games have been the exception.

I played some TF2 and there was some obnoxious American kid on my team... Except I couldn't hear anything he said because his mic was trash and the only thing I could make out were all the times he swore.

Had my first relationship and heartbreak within a few days of each other.
Completely broke down emotionally for a day.
Learned that I'm emotionally unstable as well.
Hope you all had a better week than me...
I wouldn't worry about it. Most people find themselves more unstable than they thought they were when it come to relationships, especially their first.
And my weeks been okay, little frustrating on account of the town I live in being so limited in supplies of pretty much any kind, not to mention the questionable customer service here. For one small example, its pretty bad when I walk into an electronics store and I (being pretty much a noob with any electronics and technology) know more than the guy serving me. I mean, they didn't even know what a USB Y cable was, no less have them in stock. But it's no real surprise, this sort of thing happens almost every time I enter a shop of any kind here. Very frustrating.
Ugh, my biotech test had some pretty esoteric, cantankerous, and really superfluous questions. We're learning about STR's, VNTR's, restriction endonucleases, and RFLP's, so why in the world do I need to know DNA is read from 5 prime to 3 prime?

I was just working on a statics project and apparently I invented the Newton-inch, causing my entire project to be approximately 1/40 the size that it was supposed to be. Needless to say my project does not work.

Congratulations. I would say, "You're here forever", but then I'd have to check myself because I left for several years, so I wasn't here forever.

And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.
