Well instead of making new sections, just allow them to be in the off-topic. Instead of walling stuff off, allow it to be open, off topic is off topic. It means anything not related to minecraft. Just because PPNS had a tendency to evolve into flame wars and whatever, doesn't mean the section should be shut down, If you don't like it don't look at it. I have come to the realization that PPNS doesn't deserve a section though. It deserves to be discussed in it's own thread. One thread would eliminate all the clutter involved with keeping track of hundreds of threads in a section. If you just wall things off people want to discuss it diminishes the value of off topic. I don't care if it is a section or not. Who says off topic is diminishing the main focus?

The main problem with PPNS was not that controversial topics should not be on a family friendly forum. I'm personally interested in PPNS related topics, and I would become very annoyed at the lack of respect and sensitivity I'd see when I read threads in PPNS, even though I discuss similar topics with others in person on a regular basis. It was not an issue with the discussion topic, it was an issue with the members engaged in the discussion having little or no respect for everyone else.
I personally like the fact we no longer have a massive group of communist children.
As John said, if the staff decided to leave toxic users on the site, then that's their fault and not a reason to take down the whole section. Now, I am absolutely not going to deny that PPNS was perfect. It did have it's fair share of trolls and narcissists that refused to be wrong, but of course this can be improved if the staff instead were merciless and just banned people who consistently hindered the flow and integrity of the conversation without bias or with an agenda. Again, by putting an age limit, users consent to being subject to more strict rules and moderation and should be punished more severely in PPNS for misconduct, should it ever come back.
While I think that what you suggested would be the ideal way to do it, you have to admit that there's something about political discussion that brings out the worst in people
No more discussion on PPNS or any inappropriate topics please. Any more and warnings will be dished out. We brought back this thread because we saw an opportunity for some nice discussion to be had. Don't be selfish and ruin it. PPNS will never be brought back. Accept that and move on.

Just hatched this about 10 minutes ago; also just copied and pasted from the Bell Tree Forums which is another place that I frequent.
Shiny female Combee at 2,023 eggs; surprisingly not my longest hunt despite the 1 female to 7 male gender ratio for Combee and the additional 1:512 chance of that Combee being shiny. My longest hunt was for a female Ralts at 2,527 eggs and I hatched 4 males before that one despite the even gender ratio. Only hatched two male Combee during this hunt, one at 302 eggs and the second at 1,820 eggs.
Should note that I already obtained a shiny Vespiquen; but I used Cute Charm and Friend Safari for that one so I didn't feel nearly as accomplished when I caught that one as I am now after hatching this one. Not to mention I had a Level Ball Combee transferred in from Heart Gold so this new one is even more special to me due to the rare ball type. It's Impish but missing an IV in Attack, which is OK since I can fix that when Sun and Moon come out with Hyper Training. Really though this Combee is my proudest shiny yet. <3

Yeah Gen 4. I actually found a fair amount of shinies back in Pearl and Platinum without even intentionally going after them. Bronzong, Golbat and a Gastly; sort of wish I was more appreciative with my luck back then though since the Golbat was the only one I managed to keep from back then (deleted the Pearl save that had the Bronzong on it and lost the Gastly thanks to Curse). Still need to revisit HG and SS for the Weather Trio, Mewtwo and the Legendary Bird shiny variants though.
EDIT: Anyways now I need to go sacrifice a few hours of my life to raise my new Combee's affection, EVs, and level. Peace out everybody.
