I am a complete noob, I have never been a gamer other than some Sim city and Hot Shots Golf. I'm also a geezer, probably WAY out of the Minecraft demographic (I'm 67...honest).
So far I find the regular game modes daunting/incomprehensible, however Creative mode really beckons and just last night I got my head around my proper thought process for that, I was muddling a lot of regular/creative together. I'm now actually starting to build. I'm sure I'll be hanging in the appropriate PS3/Creative forums. I can see that it's going to be a lot of fun...
While there are very large numbers of very young players, there are also quite a number of mature adults (folks who have fond memories of how easy things like cleaning the gutters were at 50 ).
I expect you may have heard the "learning cliff" reference popular in the 80's [for instances where a large initial investment acheived only modest gains, but was followed by a large proficiency gain with only marginal further investment]: I found this to be a fairly accurate description of my first forays into Minecraft.
While you may find the resource management aspects of survival simply unfun, this aspect might also present a more enjoyable challenge once you have mastered the basics of move and build.
I play strictly java [AKA Original Platform], so I don't 'hang' in the editions forums…
I'll take, therefore, this opportunity to say "welcome"; I expect "I can see that it's going to be a lot of fun..." will indeed prove to be true.

So, I used to be active on this forum for a long time, but then when the Twitch merge occurred, I quit the forums due to anger. But now, I have decided to return to this forum.

I am new here, so I thought it would be appropriate to introduce myself. ( ^ - ^ )9
I found out about Minecraft through some YouTubers quite some time ago, but I only purchased the game in July of 2016. I have been playing ever since, albeit infrequently: I have delved little into the game, you see. From now on, however, I have decided to put some more time into it, so I figured that having an account here would certainly come in handy for when I may need it. ( ^ - ^ )b
And that, I think, summarizes my Minecraft experience until now, and what I expect from this new Minecraft Forum account. (ーωーゞ

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin' around...
Could be worse, could be raining...
What I do.
Hi,
Good luck!
Just testing.

It exists, and will continue to exist, as long as everything goes well ... Citricsquid will never leave this forum.
I've been here approaching 10 years, it sure feels like I'll never
