I guess I'll give it a go: My name is Samuel Ryan and I found Minecraft through my younger brother a few days after it was released. I signed up a couple of weeks later and now I play quite a bit of it. In my freetime I make websites and play games, but I don't do that much gaming. I'm 17 and my fulltime job is to make websites, I programmed minecraftskins.net and also host this place. I'm extremely lazy.
I'm 16, I dabble in various internet crap and draw a lot. I found minecraft around version 0.12 through an internet pal. Most people think I'm a guy due to my tomboy-ish behavior, I have no real problem with that. I feel guilty for a lot of my actions, mostly social with people I care for dearly. Sometimes if I've said something with heart or hatred to someone I care for I'll get upset about it. Which is something you probably don't want to or need to know about me. I like to be helpful where I can though which is why if you see me on the forums I'm usually first on the case. :3
Uh, if there is anything else you want to know about me just ask :biggrin.gif:
I'm Michiel, 25 year old art school student from Hilversum, the Netherlands. I have a beard. I'm a musician. I usually hang around watching British shows (QI, NMTB, River Cottage series, the lot) like a mad person whilst slobbering red wine. That's right, red wine. I'm very much in touch with my feminine side. Except for my beard. I keep two badgers, Jamie and Gordon, which i plan to eat at easter.
I discovered Minecraft quite some time ago, got hooked, and purchased it after two days intense MINAN, BUILDAN and MOAR MINAN. Furthermore i'm a supporter of indie games, and except for my not-too-hefty Nintendo collection i've not bothered with srs gaems in years.

I don't watch any TV any more (at all if I can help it - most recently Lethal Weapon was on TV so I watched that), and have way way way more projects I start without finishing than projects I've completed.
I bought Minecraft because it's awesome :0
And I play games even though I should probably be spending more time doing other things.
No pets, one sister, one set of parents, a bunch of friends, a computer, a laptop, a DS, a Wii (with one functioning controller and one - oh my - broken one - it's on the inside, motion detection is broked ._. ), and various other things.
---> Also, I shout 'more things' out the (moving vehicle) window.
End!

The photo is indeed from yearbookyourself.com, where one can, well, quite literally yearbook him- or herself. Apart from that there's little to no trolling. What made you think that?
New here, and found out about this particular game from Jayisgames.com. Minecraft is something I picked up and couldn't put down, mainly since it is about creating amazing buildings, environments, and structures out of a simple block-building sandbox game. I have played games such as myst, half-life, and the sims, and most of the creations I have made so far on a single-player map take many aspects from these titles. I look forward to the release of the finished minecraft game, and will eventually help donate to the creator when I get the chance. On another note, is there a possibility of sharing single-player maps? I really just dont like building on servers just to return to a ruined structure.

Yes, if you go to http://minecraft.net and login, on the homepage it should list all the maps you've saved. Right click and copy the location of the map you want to send then paste it wherever. :smile.gif: The person can then either just walk around or save it themselves, they can't modify your saved game.
My name is Rob and I am 22 years old at the time of this post. I recently graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Mathematics. I will be attending the University of Florida starting next month in the pursuit of a Ph.D. in Mathematics.
I found this game somewhere very near to it being available to play by swift word of mouth. I purchased it a few weeks ago and haven't looked back since. Great stuff. Really top Notch.
About me: Going to college (university for you Europeans) in a few weeks. I'm currently growing a handlebar mustache, but it'll take a while. I'm a PC gamer first and foremost; my console collection consists of a Playstation, Sega Genesis, and Dreamcast. My handheld collection consists of two Game Boy originals (one in grey one in red(rare)), a Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Light(super rare) and a Game Boy Advance (original).
I built my own PC two years ago and I'm trying to get money together to do a motherboard, RAM, and video card(s) upgrade. When I'm not on my PC, I'm in or around my car, a 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider. I like most genres of music, but I have a soft spot for classical, especially piano and harpsichord arrangements.
I own and know how to use 6 swords, including one sword cane bearing a wolf's head (go figure), and an assortment of knives. I have three Nerf guns, all of which I'm incredibly lethal with, and a .177 rifle. I'm your go-to guy for the zombie apocalypse, as I'm extensively trained in Kung Fu (true) and I'm a proficient marksman (also true). I'm also an ace driver, so I'll be weaving in and out of the zombie traffic.
Actually, according to coolemu, LucasAnderson is 12 years old. He only has 3 posts, though.
My name is Levinous, and my other alias is "kirby". I am 18 years old and I love music. I make it and hope to make it in the future in more professional positions. I have to say, I'm a bit obsessed with music. It's one of my favourite hobbies and really makes me happier, for some odd reason. I put effort into what I do and always try to be original.
I have long, blond hair and I forget to shave often. I do parkour, as well.
My name is -SNIP-, I'm 13 years old and spend half my life on the computer. Strangely, I found minecraft while looking for physics engines on Youtube. I bet I'm the only one! I play a lot of games including minecraft, and spend a lot of time on the forums.
I have tantos, wazikazawhatever you call thems, and a few more.
And yes, I count Phillipenes (sp?) as a part of Asia.
Wakizashi. Also, I don't own an entire matching set yet. I should get on that.
I forgot to mention that I actually play piano, as well as some banjo/guitar, a didgeridoo, and drums. I'm best at piano and drums; probably a percussion thing.
Hello, My name is Malos, I'm 21 years old.
My interest in Minecraft was sparked after I found out about the game while browsing Jayisgames.
I'm usually on UD's server.
So, yeah.
Hello, I am new.I have a lot of experience with forums,so I am not I noob.I come from a game called Incredibots, which has recently made a rule where spam is no longer spam because of all the whiny users.I am really big on grammar (Google chromes spell check helps :tongue.gif:) and being polite. When I first heard of this,I made a castle, what else.I hear of a survival mode, and I am willing to support this game to get it.Please be patient while I(most likely) will be asking for help and tips from people.I noticed we can have pictures in our signatures. We did not have this on IB.How old is this game?
The possibility's of this game seem endless.I have a feeling I will enjoy this a lot more than Incredibots.I do not expect to be a great level maker,I just want to have fun.
Also,I am a PC gamer.I noticed there are more people like me,while searching for this thread.
Welcome to the forum and minecraft! Great to have you here.

:smile.gif: The game is made by only one man and buying it helps pay for him to live and eat, he very much appreciates every purchase!

How old is this game?
The game was started on may the 11th 2009, so 113 days ago. The game is still being developed heavily. If you want to find more about the game and its development you can find more info at http://notch.tumblr.com/

Real: BS straight to a PhD!? Cripes, man. My roommate just wrapped up his MS in math last spring and has gone to work (you guessed it!) as a high-school math teacher. I can't decide if that should get a hyphen or not.
Knite: I saw your picture in the other thread and assumed it wasn't your Alfa Romeo you were sitting in. Good gracious, man! You have fine taste in automobiles. I don't know a single Italian car owner. =( I'm waiting for the mi.To to come to America. Freaking hot little car.
Lobstarooo: You make me laugh! I enjoyed your description and picture.
citricsquid: You are very nice. Keep your easygoing nature.

To illustrate the madness, here's a photo:
