Hey guys, I decided to make a thread about disturbing cartoon episodes. It doesn't matter how many disturbing cartoon episodes you saw, or what cartoon franchise it is. And I'm not counting anime!
So here is a disturbing cartoon episode I saw.
Franchise: Spongebob Squarepants
Episode: Squeaky Boots
Plot: (I didn't watch this episode in a long time, so I took the plot from a website)
For Pearl's birthday, Mr. Krabs selfishly gives her a pair of fishing
boots that only cost $2. After Pearl doesn't accept the gift, Mr. Krabs
tells SpongeBob that the boots are special, and only worn by the best
official fry cooks in the world. SpongeBob, excited, exchanges his
paycheck for them, and starts wearing them all day and night. The squeak
annoys Squidward so much that he goes on vacation, and Mr. Krabs has to
fill in for him. After a sleepless night because of a squeaking window,
Mr. Krabs can't stand the squeak of SpongeBob's boots anymore. At his
wit's end, he steals the boots and buries them underneath the Krusty
Krab. However, SpongeBob comes in the next day crying because he
couldn't find the boots. Mr. Krabs feels guilty and starts going crazy
and haves a squeaky nightmare, believing that he hears nothing but the
constant squeaking of the boots (all text he sees is even replaced by
the word "squeak"). He un-buries the boots, shrinks them and eats them
in a bout of insanity. He thinks he finally has peace and quiet and goes
on vacation with Pearl, until he hiccups, making the boots (inside his
body) squeak.
What disturbed me: The "hallucinations" Mr. Krabs had, like everyone's voices were squeaky, the all-time creepy sink moments, all the text read "SQUEAK", ugh...it was like a creepypasta.
I remember that episode, but to me it wasn't very disturbing. I'm not easily disturbed by certain cartoon episodes, but there are probably a few that traumatized me that I can't remember.

also don't look behind you but a duck is watching you... standing there staring... and if you turnaround he will hide... always there... always watching... -spynathan
That show terrified me as a child, I remember the episode on Ramses traumatized me for a while. "Return the slab......"
The most disturbing episode for me was the one where the windmill kept breaking, and each time it did the sky would turn red and the four horsemen would try to destroy the house.
For me it was Canadian Heritage Minutes. They weren't cartoons but they aired between cartoons instead of commercials sometimes on Canadian TV channels. They were short, 1 minute long documentaries about something historically important. On paper that sounds blandly educational until you realize that most of history is comprised of pretty horrible stuff happening.
So I'd be a little kid watching Seasame Street or Mr. Dressup & I'd be interrupted by things like a fully conscious lady being poked in her exposed brain (about a famous Canadian neurosurgeon). Angry nude men being beaten with leather straps (about prison reform). Recently orphaned children in tears begging to be allowed to keep their family names. (about why the French part of Canada has so many Irish last names). Or an entire small town being blown up by a boatload of TNT (about exactly what it soundslike, literally a boat full of TNT exploded in the harbour & levelled the town, killing pretty much everyone)

Im like the one percent that wasnt scared much by Courage. In fact it was one of my favorite shows behind Ed Edd n Eddy. But even to this day I cant watch that one episode of spongebob with the butterfly. I still freak out when the butterfly closeup comes around.
"Odd is Benjamin Franklin playing tetherball with Van Helsing. Odd is a big toed tadpole tainted by the tides of a dawn since past. ODD IS A FORTY YEAR OLD OFFICER CRIES HIMSELF TO SLEEP EVERY NIGHT DREAMING ABOUT LIFE ON THE ROAD AS A TRAVELING NAKED CONTORTIONIST! NEVER RETURNING HOME! NEVER STOPPING OR BREAKING HIS STRIDE! Uhm. Unless he sells at TGI Fridays. ******* loves that place."

Hi. You're looking at the signature of a user that has pretty much quit Minecraft, but I might still be lurking. You can take a look if you want.

Pretty much every episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog was disturbing. Also that cat fingers episode of Steven Universe.
That show terrified me as a child, I remember the episode on Ramses traumatized me for a while. "Return the slab......"
And who are you, the proud lord said, that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat, that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red, a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord, as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall, and not a soul to hear.

The most disturbing episode of SpongeBob SquarePants is One Coarse Meal.

They were all pretty intense.
