I synthesize chemical elements at home like Bismuth from Pepto-Bismol for example by crushing the tablets, dissolving all the alkalines in the tablet in HCI then I extract the Bismuth dioxide by mixing it with H2O2 and letting it sit over night in a freezer then I use a reduction reaction to separate the Bismuth from the Bismuth oxide (you could use any reduction chemical that is more reactive than Bismuth) I make the reduction chemical form Magnesium Firestarters that I find and the local Hardware store then it take me 3 hours of grinding Magnesium metal on sandpaper and filing it down into powder because it needs to be powdered for the molecules to touch together and any reaction to happen, then I mix it in in a special ratio together with Bismuth oxide and then you have to set it on fire (you need a blowtorch at least 2000F to initiate the reaction) then BE CAREFUL YOU CAN EXPLODE YOURSELF AND DIE!!! and then I get the remeneats of the reaction (now theres magnesium oxide instead of pure magnesium and you have your pure Bismuth metal, this works by the magnesium wanting the oxygen more than the bismuth wants it so the magnesium steals it from the bismuth oxide and your left with sort of pure bismuth. then I purify it by melting it on a stove (abour 600F melting point) and then I filter out all the stuff that's not melted do this like 3 times and great job you've got tourself 99.9% pure bismuth, you get about 1-2 pound yield, its more efficient than to buy it because it costs about 30$ per pound on Ebay (very expensive) SO DOES THIS COUNT AS RARE AND UNIQUE?
My oldest is a 1909 Half penny from the time of King Edward VII.
I also collect foreign coins and i have an odd Egyptian coin with a hole in the middle from 1917
I also collect model buses
I have some rare coins too, I have the 1938 Wheat Steel penny from WW2 that is made of iron because they didn't have copper because of the War with Hitler

Going to my city's ecocenter, take some branches and trunks, some unused wooden planks, a few fabrics and build cat scratching posts and trees out of these. Spares me the material buying part, recycles stuff around and I get a decent 30$ for 3 hours of sandblasting, nailing and cutting. I also really enjoy it as it takes up some time and I generally love cats.
Always taken a fancy to fountain pens, and when I was about 14 I started collecting them. I have about 40-50 now with wayyyy too much ink. I started selling some now it's just hard to say goodbye to the ones that have sentimental value to me.
Apart from that, I go to the gym a lot and play street soccer with friends everyday, so I guess they can be considered hobbies, too.
MSF was the good ol simulator. I remember I had a massive flight setup next to my actual computer. So cool. I'm sure I have some of the old parts somewhere, but I'd love to get on and fly again some time soon!
97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber on top of a tower about to jump. If you're the 3% who is sitting there with popcorn screaming "DO A BACKFLIP", copy and paste this as your signature. If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 99% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 1% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.

Aren't we all?
Budget cooking, freeskiing, and making surreal Photoshop edits on r/photoshopbattles. I also like making abstract sculptures with copper sheet metal.
Gundam models (Gunpla)
