Orcs Must Die is very good, it's sort of towers defense, but.... Umm....... Sorta like Starforge, as the closest example I can find. You can build towers that do most of the damage, but you also use your own weapons/spells too.

Hm yeah, I am thinking about picking it up on the next Steam sale. I like tower defence a lot plus the gameplay looks fun!

The original Assassin's Creed. Took me 16 hours to beat.
Would have taken a lot less if I had known you could use the Hidden Blade to insta-kill enemies via a counter-attack before the final boss, but oh well.
Was quite an enjoyable experience. Now playing the second, which I am almost done with. Then Brotherhood, then Revelations, then the third.
