Don't buy ATI Graphics Cards for video games. They're a piece of crap. I don't care if anyone says ATI Cards are better. They don't know what they're talking about.
Why do I know this? Because I've been using ATI Cards for years till I switched to Nvidia cards.
The difference being that ATI Cards tend to have some kind of compatibility problem with almost every video game ever created. I don't know why. It either has huge performance drops or FPS problems. The ATI Cards look nice, but don't play that all that nice.
Especially if you're playing a video game that uses a lot of fog or particle effects. For some reason, the fog and particle effects put a huge strain on the ATI Cards. This doesn't seem to be a problem with the Nvidia cards though.
Even Minecraft has some problems running with an ATI Card. One of my computers uses an ATI Card with 1 GB of video memory to run Minecraft. The max FPS it gets is about 40-50 at best and looks really choppy and even worse when it rains. My other computer (the one I'm using) gets about 90-120 FPS on a Nvidia card with 1 GB of video memory. My friend has the same problem with FPS drops and he uses an ATI card.
There are other games that I've compared, but I don't want to get into that.
I just hope people don't make the same mistake. I just learned the hard way. One of the hard ways I learned was someone throwing a smoke grenade at me and my FPS dropped from like 80 to 10. Happened in Counter-Strike...
ATI's kinda do suck. What don't suck are AMD Graphics cards. ATI's are the older gen. AMD Graphics cards are good.

That is all. I hope this random ass advice helps.
