I mean, it wouldn't be any gameplay reason or lore, but it would be fun to do it for kicks.
That's be pretty cool. The wood looks so shiny and nice...
But this mod is really working. I've barely found one piece of Dwemer armor and Orcish and I'm level 14!
EDIT: I slayed an entire army and reclaimed the Razor of Mehrunes' Dagon. I did not use, however, and gave it to Martin for it to be destroyed. Now I am starting the KOTN questline for the Nine and the sweet gear.
Having that kind of wood texture makes it seem a weird but awesome idea.
And I'm starting up Morrowind for some time. I still have to finish the MQ.
Would they? Yes, in a way. Would it have been possible to use them to open Paradise? No.
First because the Blades didn't know where they were. Maybe most didn't know they even existed. But let's say they knew of it, we can't say Martin would be able to handle them for the ritual.
Now, you may be wondering why I said "in a way" when speaking of how they could be considered aedric artifacts. Because the Relics wouldn't have the pure divine essence imbued into them; while certainly they do have Aedric blood as part of their creation, we can't say they would be as proper for the ritual.
Sorry if that sounds confusing.
This thread is pinned, it can't die.
I know, It's just that unfortunately there haven't been as many posts lately. I do know that people have other things to do, so it's OK.
EDIT: Just defeated Emperor Gareth with the upgraded Crusader's Relics.
I've decided to NOT do Shivering Isles. My character will do all he can for Cyrodiil. With the power of Pelinal's heart, Pelinal's Fire, and Pelinal's Wrath, he will kill as many of the Aldmeri Dominion members as he can in the later years, and then die in battle eventually. His armor is lost, but will hopefully be found some day.
I will, however, remake Desjardins, have his backstory be the same, except for some changes, join the DB, TG, and lead the Mages' Guild and eventually leave and become the Madgod. This character is going to live in the same universe that Travius does, but will be the one to do SI. The reason so is that he does not leave daedric magic, and instead continues to practice it. However, he does not like Mehrunes Dagon, so he resents the Oblivion Crisis.
Cats.

There's a Skyrim megathread? Well, I WAS wondering why everyone WASN'T talking about Dawnguard...
Cats.
There's a link in the OP if you haven't already found it.
Anyway, it's surprising how this thread slowed down. Figured I'll start posting here again. Ok, switching forum priorities...
9 points transfered from: General Gaming to: Elder Scrolls Megathread. Do you wish for another transaction? [No]
Let's get to business. First of all, I'd like to know if anyone knows how this thing here works. I couldn't quite get it from the instructions.
Second, awesome Oblivion comic.
Third. When I figure out how to convert those messy Fallout 3 NIF files into common NIFs, I'll post some screenshots of Hellfire Armor from Fallout 3 fighting scamps in Oblivion. Sadly I only was able to extract the Broken Steel file, thus it's the only armor I could get. I'm thankful though, the vanilla FO3 power armor doesn't look like a practical power armor at all, at least not in the Fallout universe, with all those flaps and thingys. Hellfire does.
Cheers.
Just restarted Desjardins again a few days ago, and decided he doesn't need any armor. I'm writing a fanfiction type thing in the UESP forums, and I have decided to post it here.
Upon entering Anvil he was surprised at the cleanness of the city. Surely this was not the same city whose docks he had landed on just half an hour ago? "Excuse me. You, guard!" Desjardins yelled at an elderly guard who had been stationed near the gates. "Can you give me some directions?"
"Of course Breton. What would you like to know?" The guard replied. "Where can I find the Mages' Guild and where can I get potions?" Desjardins had always been quick to get to the point. "The guilds are south of the North gate, and I am afraid that we have no official alchemist. You'll want to try Felen Ralas at the Mages' Guild where you are headed."
Desjardins nodded curtly and walked to the guilds. This time he would not mess up and meddle in things that were beyond his understanding. This time he was just going to study magic in a legal and safe way. As he entered the guild, the smell of roasted aloe vera leaves and boar meat took him by surprise. He saw a High Elf standing behind the counter. Carahil opened her mouth and said "Hello, hello, hello! Are you here to join the guild? Oh my, that must be it! FELES! DO WE HAVE THE STARTING KIT FOR NEW MAGES? Oh dear, excuse my yelling! I am Carahil, head of the Anvil Mages' Guild. We are currently accepting new members, so feel free to join!" Carahil was overtly excited Desjardins thought. "I am indeed, hoping to join the guild here. Do I need to sign any registration forms?" Desjardins asked. "Oh nothing like that, just show me a bit of magick. Lemme see what you can do!" She said.
Desjardins gulped. "Wow, when was the last time I cast a spell? She must be messing with me. Hmph, that must be it! The High Elf wanting to teach the human a lesson. Well, I'll show her!" He got ready to cast a spell, a protect spell would be basic and would demonstrate his Alteration skills.
"Well, are you casting the spell or not? That's the only way to get in the Guild!" Carahil exclaimed. Desjardins grew red and muttered something. "Sorry dear, couldn't catch that. What happened?" Carahil asked. Desjardins scowled a bit and said "Atronarch". A look of pity grew on Carahil's face and she said "Oh you poor thing! An Atronarch! What an unfortunate case. Here, let me fetch some Restore Magicka Potions for you. They're on the house!"
Desjardins, who was already embarrassed, grew even redder and nodded. "Maybe I'm just taking things the wrong way? Carahil just seems to be bubbly is all" He thought. When she arrived with the potions, (there were 10) he showed her a perfect example of a Protect spell which she applauded. Welcome to the Guild!" she cried, and started handing him the Mages' Guild Starter Kit. Desjardins took the Mages' Guild Charter, silver dagger, and potions and mortar and pestle and stuffed them in his bag. "Right then, I'll just be off to practice now"
"Wait child! You haven't met your fellow guild members yet!" Carahil said. As Desjardins was dragged, he couldn't help but think to himself "What have I gotten myself into..."
I'd like crippling limbs (not VATS, that'd be stupid), but I wouldn't like the degrading weapons, I don't need more reasons to suck at TES games.
When a lesser daedra is slain, its soul, or animus, is precipitated back into the void of Oblivion. This is well known. I can't help but wonder, though... what happens if the daedra is soultrapped?
Been bugging me a bit :/
Well before Skyrim we did have degrading weapons.
But crippling limbs, hell no, that doesn't belong in TES. Analogy: Half Life 2 has energy and health meters. Just because it works well, does that mean the element belongs on Team Fortress 2? Likewise, the fact crippling limbs work well on Fallout doesn't mean it works on Elder Scrolls.
Soultrapping gets the energy of the soul. Souls here are just energy vessels, you see, it wouldn't actually get the daedra (or person, or animal, or whatever) inside the gem.

Question time:
Is Umaril the Unfeathered wearing armor, or does he look like he does in KOTN because of his demigod status?
