Wait, so is that link (OP) a straight download of the entire game, or just a "patch" that'll change everything to English? Sorry, I'm utterly horrible with computers.

Just a patch, I think king porky has enough sense not post roms here.
Yeah, that's what got me confused. Ah well, off to find a rom.

The website only has the patch, you can apply it once you get the rom.
For a gameboy emulator, I suggest VBA. VisualBoy Advance.
Though there is an in-game "rhythm" system where you can time your hits for what I'd say as combos. You can get 16 hits which is impossible on the ending boss fight because the music jumps from here to there. So you have to match the music to get an extra hit.
It's nearly impossible if you have a slow computer. I've never gotten a 16 hit combo.
I loved the plot in Mother 3, but I don't like how they traded off most of the freedom and exploration that Earthbound had for it. My hope is that the fanmade Mother 4 will combine the best of Earthbound and Mother 3 when it is completed.
I enjoyed the music of the series and still find myself humming it randomly at times. I remember the music of the first fight against the mole cricket at the beginning of Mother 3 really struck a note with me.
As for my favorite enemy, I'd have to say Lil' Miss Marshmallow, the optional boss from Mother 3. As soon as the fight began, I knew I was in over my head. I just wanted the damn yo-yo...

You know me. I'm the guy who's been around for quite a while but doesn't post very often. No, the other one.

I personally like the hippy.
It has a great storyline.
I admit, Mother 3 had the best plot out of the three.
I loved the creativity of that game.
It was also really sad. q_q

DaKoTa!
I never cry over games. No matter how sad.
Earthbound gives me nightmares.
EB Zero was... meh.
EBZ was more of a test game.
Earthbound was a better remake. Disregarding the plot.
I share your opinions though.
