That scream was crazy man, since I gifted a copy of pre-ordered portal2 to my friend since it was his birthday, his oldest brother was the last to play. But he was at the part where the scream happened while I was at my friends house, we joked about how it was a female t-pain or yekan west. :3
But, it was creepy.

SHADDUP TOOTHY. Kidding.
Yeah, I actually felt a bit of GLaDOS's pain, because I truly believe she can feel it. D=
Im so mad at PSN right now... So i bought portal 2 for ps3, so i could automatically get it for steam too BUT u have to sign into PSN to do that, so cant download it on my computer, AND cant play co op on ps3 either cuz of the network... Singleplayer was good, but doubt it will be as good the 3rd time...
For those of you who have played the game and finished it (or watched it):
when Wheatley became corrupted in Chapter 5, did anyone else get the feeling/idea that something is seriously wrong with GLaDOS's body? I have a feeling that the "homicidalness" comes from the actual machine that is wired to the mainframe.
^Add a spoiler tag ([.spoiler]
) to that please.
If you listened later on, GLaDOS said they always tried to put corrupted cores on her, so they would stop her from killing everybody, and the cores were never removed, even when GLaDOS was destroyed in Portal
Chell is GLados's and Cave Johnson's daughter! If you translate the big turret opera at the end of Portal 2 out of Italian it's pretty much saying Goodbye my little girl, stay away from science.
Here's the video:
More evidence can be found in other sections of the game. Cave sure liked Caroline enough.
Cave: Obsessed with Science
Caroline: "she's married to science!" - CJ
GLaDOS = Caroline
GLaDOS - Finds two "people" with Chell's last name
Song translates to a goodbye song to a daughter.
Science project with Chell's name on it at "Bring your daughter to work day."
GLaDOS's need to "test" wasn't her fault. It was a mechanism installed to the mainframe itself, and whoever controlled it gained that particular need. Since Wheatley is as much of an idiot (Not really an idiot, just.. DESIGNED to be an idiot.) as the Adventure Core, he succumbed to it quickly, and ended it quickly. Like bugs and bug spray..
Does anyone else get kinda paranoid/scared when playing portal?
I always get that feeling something is after me... If i dont hurry and finish the next puzzle i might get caught.
maybe games like amnesia have messed with my head too much...
nah, your head is fine! it happens to me too. I glitched in portal 1 once and kinda got raped by the portals..
Tells you what happened from Ratman's view. If you're confused, go to the wiki. It helps.

I hated that cliffhanger. I mean, what the hell is Chell supposed to do now?
Also, can someone please enlighten me on how Portal carried on over to Portal 2? I don't think I understand very well.
In Portal 1, Chell literally obliterated GLaDOS. Upon GLaDOS's malfunction, she opened up a huge portal above her, pulling her and her generator into it. Chell followed into it after.
We then find Chell and GLaDOS in the Aperture Science parking lot, and in the middle of the game, GLaDOS mentions the "Submission position" which was "lay flat on your stomach with your arms at your sides."
Apparently, this is how Chell landed, and an aperture bot dragged her back inside and put her into stasis.

After that, 200 years later, there was Portal 2.
Oh, I thought Glados dragged her out. Well I like it that Portal 2 has more of an actual plot to it. I really found the story to the first Portal very dull, and if you know me, I am a person that loves story heavy games.

I think the original Portal was just a test for the concept of Portals that grew out of control.

Portal 1 was not a full game. It was part of The Orange Box. Also if you like story heavy games, how could you not like the portal ARG? http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Portal_ARG
the portal ARG is the most fun i've ever had with a video game story. All the little clues and hints you find leading to more clues and hints, and all the portal fans coming together as a community to try to decode the meanings behind them... Of course now the ARG is pointless (pretty much everything has been discovered/decoding but if you got into it when it was still relevant, it was crazy fun.
That scream.. T.T

What's that, the "it was an experiment" excuse? don't give me that crap.
Never heard it. Though I won't be picking it up ever (with Portal 2 out and all, and I'm not getting that either).
I've also been watching a play through recently and I understand why people like Portal 2 so much. It actually looks crazy fun.
Just 2 games?
Gah, i want more portal!
