Hi everyone, I've also been playing Ace of Spades and because their web server is running in low mode(and their server list is hard to use) I have a filtered (no empty or full servers) on my web-server, it's been helping ppl on other forums to join in and waste less time on finding a server. Plus I added today a message telling you what server you joined(makes it a lot easier to tell a friend who comes up later, as when ur in the server, u can't see it's name).
I can't seem to make this run at all! Whenever I try to join through a browser this message pops up
Firefox: Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (aos) isn't associated with any program
Opera: The address type is unknown or unsupported
Internet Explorer: The webpage cannot be displayed.•Some content or files on this webpage require a program that you don't have installed.
I have the game installed and tried to join through the client.exe but it just crashes. Someone please help! =O
This game looks nice and original. I'm also getting error 95% times I try to join, but that's not the problem.
Whenever I launch the game, I got this:
Seems like I'm looking into void. Whatever I see on the screen stays there, and most of all, I can't see anything but my weapon and HUD. The game is freshly installed, problem showed on first-time launch. I tried changing my screen resoultion and restarting PC, no change.
If anyone knew how to solve this, I'd be grateful :smile.gif:
Thanks.
How many times has this happened to you? It's happened to me but it fixes itself as you play the game.

Try uninstalling and then installing again. Also, make sure to use Internet Explorer. I'm not an expert with computers, but it seems that your browsers aren't recognizing what to open the server with. Google it if you have to.

Well, it happens every single time, but I've never tried staying on the server longer than few minutes, as I don't want to be AFKer. I will try it and eventually edit this post.
Exactly how many times has it happened? How many times did you join a game?

I joined 5 games, 4 times the same problem (once, everything was OK, somehow...). I can only see HUD, players, and player-placed blocks.
Four times is about how many times it happened to me. Joining and rejoining should fix it after a while.
There are loads of websites with the name "Ace of Spades". They weren't really thinking of marking in terms of web when they picked the name, it's bound to be extremely common on the web.
What are you doing to the list? It was letting me in the servers awesomely until a few minutes ago...
Damn, this game looks actually very fun. This is how minecraft "rip off's" should be. Taking the core idea and adding things to it. It looks very very fun actually. Now It just needs a mac port! DO IT PLEASE.
And, as a warning to all people new to computers, usually, don't run binary files unless you have lots of people who have used it and don't have problems. Binary files can rip your computer to sheds.

Muncher is right, listen to him, he can cure the blind and make paraplegics walk.
Grah. I really want to play this game. Seriously, why is there no mac version? Would it be that difficult? I would donate a decent sum of money to this if a mac version ever came out.

Just watch a bunch of gameplay videos on YouTube until you can get it. That's what I did with Minecraft. XD

That's like saying, watch videos of people who don't have cancer when your in hospital.......
But really, it shouldn't be that hard. Is there anyway we can talk to the developer.

It's better than not being able to even see the game, isn't it?
Also, I do not know of any way to contact the developer. You could always ask Paulsoaresjr, though. If I remember right he said he did in his second look video.
To "get it" for mac:
1. Download the free trial of CrossOver games. Install.
2. Then install Ace of Spades into a new bottle
3. Go to "Programs" then "run command"
4. Go to ace-spades.com and copy one of the Ip's (example: "aos://898248002") into the command box.
5. Press run!
7. Kill evil blue team members!
Okay, I might have a reason for it not working and displaying the error messages. People who get this 100% of the time aren't gonna like this. I am currently capped to like 10kb/s and my internetz is about to refresh soon but this is gonna suck for everyone is isn't even capped.

How do I install into a bottle?
When I downloaded it I got an aos026install.msi file, is that the correct file?
What installer do I use when prompted for it by crossover?

The .msi is a "installer" file. First, go to "configure" then "manage bottles." Create a new bottle, and name it Ace of Spades or something. Now, to to "install software" under "configure" as well. choose "unsupported software" choose the bottle you made, and choose the installer (.msi) file.
Then the wizard installer setup thing should appear...
I tried, but some things were cut out of the screen.
Thank you SOO much!

Yeah, i get like, "File insight; less than 100 Norton users have downloaded this; Medium risk; Deleted"
How do i stop it from deleting it?
Gosh guys, it was fine the way it was.
